Usually, I have nothing but good things to say about DQ as it is my favorite fast food restaurant, especially this one here in Hamilton. However, I was definitely disappointed today. My husband and I sat at the drive thru speaker for about 2 minutes...we never heard anyone say anything through the speaker. My husband decided that we would just whip around and go inside. Upon walking in, my husband and I hear the car that had been behind us ordering at the drive thru speaker. I spoke to the cashier and I told her that we had been sitting in the drive thru for a couple of minutes and never heard anything through the speaker. She apologizes profusely and proceeds to tell me that the speaker is broken...she apologized again. She turned to tell who I assume was the "MOD" (an elderly lady with blondish hair and bangs, in glasses) that we had been sitting there and her response was to shrug her shoulders...no words, no apology, nothing. Just a shrug. That's definitely some top-notch service right there, smh. Maybe the speaker was having issues however, I believe the "MOD" could have handled it a little differently than just a shrug of her shoulders. Both my husband and I have worked in fast food before, we understand things happen and we would have been more than understanding of a broken speaker. We really appreciate the cashier who apologized repeatedly to us. To the elderly lady who just blew us off, maybe you could take a tip from your cashier. Oh, and possibly post a sign on the speaker stating that it is having some issues. Just a thought....
Read moreYesterday around 6:30 pm my family and I walked in to the location in Hamilton Texas. When we walked up to order my mom and I overheard the manager or whoever she was to the team working yealling to another employee in her face “GET FRESH WATER, USE YOUR HEAD!!” Her name was Caitlin, from what the employee told me. The poor girl with a dirty blonde braid and glasses with freckles sadly looked down and embarrassed as she walked to get the fresh water Caitlin asked for. CAITLIN then walked up to the counter with a smile and I was just appalled by the way she screamed at her so I asked why she yelled so rudely at the employee, because I’m a manager at a restaurant and I would NEVER yell or COMMAND another teammate to do something. SHE ROLLED HER EYES 3 Times at my mother and I and commently kept saying “okay, okay!?” As she denied being rude or even yelling at the employee, also stating “MY MANAGER WOULD HAVE TOLD HER THE SAME THING” We then offered to get service from someone else and that’s when Caitlin yelled at the employee that she yelled at before telling her to “get THOSE PEOPLE” I felt so disrespected and sorry for all the employees that worked there that they have to deal with such a horrible team leader like Caitlin. She WOULD NOT be working at my restaurant with that attitude torward others. HORRIBLE COACHING, TEAMWORK, and ACCOUNTABLILITY. Shame, we always go there every time we drive 7 hours from San Antonio Too Oklahoma. And we will never stop there again....
Read moreI literally (no exaggeration) sat in the drive through line for 35 minutes. There were only two cars ahead of me when I got there, and the first one left soon after I got there, so for the bulk of the time, they struggled to serve two cars. After I finally got to the window, the person working the drive through then told me they’re out of fries, which was a big part of my order. At any point during this 30+ minute wait, they could have opened the window and told me they had no fries. It’s just amazingly inconsiderate. Then, as I was leaving, the guy who had been ahead of me flagged me down and said that they presumably gave much of the food I had ordered to him. My standards are pretty low for fast food employees,...
