Daylight Donuts — Restaurant in Hamilton

This is our go-to donut place. They are always dependable and able to meet demand. There was a new donut place that opened by us in West Chester that is much closer and people were raving about their donuts. I went there at 10AM and they were down to just plain glazed donuts and some frosted glazed. Maybe that's typical, but for me that means you are failing to accurately project your demand and meet it. So we ended up going to Daylight Donuts as usual and were not disappointed. Even if they are out of my favorite (which hasn't happened yet), they have such a creative, fun and delicious assortment of donuts that you will not be disappointed. And the associates are friendly and charming.

Alex Lindner I can't stand reviews like yours that automatically give a 1 star because you're pissed about something miniscule that was clearly a mistake that was mostly your husband's responsibility. When you just blankly point at a case and say "I'll take 12 of those," most people would take that to mean you want an assortment. Just standing in line, I hear that order all the time- an assortment of a dozen. Since they get that order all the time, I would know to specifically say "I want a dozen of this specific donut." And because they get the assortment of a dozen order so much, it's much more efficient to have them pre-boxed. Just because your husband can't clearly communicate doesn't mean this is a 1-star establishment, but rather he is a 1 star at communication.. Your inconvenience MAYBE warranted 4 stars, possibly 3.

My first time, because someone told me they have sausage roll/klobasnek/kolache. I was there 630AM Sat morning. I am going to assume this is a family owned business, I can see mom Dad and teenage son. I will always support small business they seem to care more when it comes to services. Friendly service, offer free donut hole couple times while i take in the store and atmosphere. I tried a blue berry cake, strawberry cheese cake/croissant style dough and Sausage roll. I went back later for the Pine cone donut. The sausage roll was nice, not too much dough. it was very fluffy, it will be ok even if the dough was thicker. The strawberry cheese cake dough is chewy not flaky, It was not what I expected. It reminds me the chicken bake from Costco. The blueberry cake donut was moist and just enough flavour. When i went back for the pine cone, it was fresh off the press. It was still warm and it was delicious. I understand it is just a basic cinnamon roll, but the dough was cook all the way through. Did not greet me when I was there, from walking in, to being face to face at the register, and followed thru to handing off my coffee and donuts at separate times. Not a hello, a thank you, have a great day, don't ever come back, NOTHING! Lol Coffee tasted like there was an after taste of the cup or what the coffee was made in, almost like an old rag but less stringent. Had that funny after taste and it was not a full cup. I couldn't even drink it. Donuts were decent. I just got glazed and a brown sugar. All the gd donuts were already gone so they must do well. Either way I felt ignored and passed thru, coffee would have been good if not for the after taste, donuts were tasty. I think I'll keep shopping around.
