The best thing about this place is the view. Beyond that? There isn’t much to write home about. We got there exactly at 4 and they were already taking names for a waitlist-we had no problem with that and went downstairs to the bar to wait. We waited about 40 minutes and were sat in the LOUDEST dining room. If you look at other reviews, this is clearly a problem. We couldn’t hear each other, we couldn’t hear the waitstaff. The restaurant can seem to decide if it’s a bar or an actual restaurant and the food reflects this. Overall our food was bad. It was cold, tasteless-or in the case of my steak, waaay too over seasoned. It was a cross between some weird BBQ and sweet seasoning-overall, not good. It came with 4, yes, 4 tiny potatoes and a small side of asparagus. My husband got the French dip-it looked cold and old with very little fries on the side. Our friends had other sandwiches and only ate half of each because they were so bad. Understand that we wanted to like this place as we live in Ludington but we cannot get over the high prices for less than mediocre food. Perhaps we’ll take friends for a drink and the view, but we’ll definitely eat dinner somewhere else.

We came here after hiking all day as it was the closest restaurant that sounded good to where we were - what a nice place! The food is higher priced but worth it - we didn't have a single dish in our party of 8 that wasn’t delicious. Our food came out really fast as well. The cheesecake is soooo good, can’t go wrong with the perch dinner, and the salads were fresh and yummy. The noise level was high due to the echoing with the high ceilings but not unbearable. I will say if you plan to go here - the majority of the guests seemed to be dressed nicely and maybe higher class - but as I said we had just finished hiking all day (after camping for 4 days) and were preparing for the 4 hour drive back home and were still met with smiling faces and great service. They were out of a few things but it didn’t deter us from having a full quality meal. My only suggestion for the restaurant manager would be to take the berry crisp off the menu when you’re out of ice cream - it’s very dry and plain without that extra touch but I’m sure awesome when it has all the parts!

The first time I came with a large group and was told it would be an hour and fifteen minute wait so we decided to come back earlier another day. The next time, we came at open and still had a 45 minute wait. The view and atmosphere is great and I liked that you can sit in the deck below and get a drink while you wait for your table. I ordered the smash burger and it wasn't very good. The patties were 1/4 inch wide and overcooked. Other food that people ordered looked good, so next time I would definitely order something else. There is limited boat parking so arrive early

We had just come off the M-22 and were coming into the area from the north. This place came up on restaurant search, and we thought we'd check it out. The parking lot design is poorly designed. The acoustics were horrible inside. The sun was beautiful that day but was too bright where we were sat. Seeing the set-up outdoors on the deck may have been okay. Though, it looked like the umbrellas didn't do enough to protect those people from the hot sun. We were sat quickly, as there wasn't a huge dinner crowd for a weekday. They have 5 t.v. sets, but 4 were too high up to appreciate. The 5th one over the bar was the only one positioned perfectly. But if you weren't there to watch the sports you were okay. The service was slow. The waitress asked if we wanted bread. Then, she forgot to bring it. After barely taking a few bites of our dinner, she asked if we were "ready for a box or were we still working on it?" We felt ignored and then rushed. The menu was lacking. It's like they couldn't decide if they wanted bar food or restaurant food. I hoped with a name like "The Perch" they would have specialized in fish. When I saw salmon, I was excited, but when I read it was going to be covered in cream sauce, I thought, not good. In my opinion, when you have a delicious taste like salmon, it doesn't need to be covered. I passed on the salmon and just got the French Dip sandwich and asparagus. When roasting asparagus or ANY vegetables, the grill has to be clean. The asparagus had burnt bits from the grill, like sand. Yuck. I'm hoping this place will get things together and smooth things out. I don't know if they want to be a sports bar or an upscale restaurant. They have a beautiful property overlooking the lake "perched " on the hillside. Good luck to...

First, I know they just opened up but, it was hard to find the restaurant in the compound, no signs. The place looks beautiful with all the oak, I mean lots of oak. The dinning room is very very loud because of all the wood, it's everywhere, ceilings, walls trim, tables. So think of the room and a giant guitar that reverberates sound! We looked the menu over and found it very pricey.my wife ordered a watermelon salad that she loved! I ordered a pasta dish that was very bland in taste, hardly any at all. It. Had asparagus, carrots, onion the veggies were chopped very small and hard to stab with a fork. You get no salad with your meal. My chicken breast that had no seasoning was under cooked. I believe it was a frozen pre marinated filet. So they cooked another one, that was supposed to be blackened so it had some flavor. It pretty much tasted the same as the first one but was cooked a little better. A couple sat at a table next to us and had a different waitress, iheard the waitress offer the some complimentary bread and offered 3 different types of butter. We were never offered bread until I asked about it. I think this place could be good if they get a real chef for what they are charging for there food. Since we dont live in the area I doubt we will ever go back. We were on a little vacation for the weekend. There are a lot of good restaurants in the Ludington area, with better atmosphere, prices and food. I hope you make it there on the lake, but I think you need to make some changes. Tip acoustic panels on the ceiling would be a good...

The patio and view overlooking the water are beautiful, but unfortunately the service and operations don’t match the setting. Each time I’ve visited, the staff seemed disorganized and stressed, often giving excuses for slow service or unavailable menu items. On multiple occasions, we’ve ordered food only to be told later that they were out—without even being given menus to choose something else.

During our most recent visit, several people in my party didn’t receive the cocktails they ordered, and one person didn’t get the cocktail, soup, or steak that they ordered at all. On top of that, it was chilly outside, and despite asking three times for the heaters to be turned on, we were met with a snarky response about how “busy” they were though the restaurant wasn’t full. We had a birthday dinner for a friend with a booked reservation so they most definitely could have anticipated our group, and they really should have had two servers helping our table. They never mentioned my friend's birthday and they didn't bring his free dessert that I discussed that evening when I arrived.

I really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt since it’s new and has so much potential, but the customer service and overall operations have been consistently underwhelming. At the prices they charge, the experience should feel much smoother and more attentive. Unfortunately, after repeated disappointments, I don’t...
