Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Hamlin

First, I must say that both visits tonight I received amazingly friendly and helpful service. Big smiles and everyone was wearing masks and changing gloves... And using hands sanitizer. Thank you for being so diligent to keep your customers safe!

Good food... I got a chicken strip basket and it was 5*, it was all cooked perfectly, toast was toasted perfectly, thank you!!

My wife got the (3) Tacos meal. I have to say that the Tacos are very tasty... But .... The Tacos are less than half full and very unsatisfying as a result. Adding onions, a LOT more Lettuce (and maybe some tomatoes) would make a world of difference. Unfortunately we have ordered the Tacos in the past and they are always less than half full, and that is why I am even mentioning this issue.

I actually came back a second time an hour later and ordered another (3) more Tacos meal with added onions and extra lettuce. This second order was tastier... I don't know if any extra lettuce was added but the Tacos seemed the same size :-(.

The second time around, we also ordered two Blizzards and they were very wonderfully thick and delicious. I wanted a Chocolate Cherry Blizzard, unfortunately they were out of that ice cream... BUT the gentleman at the window was so nice and he suggested making the shake with chocolate and actual Cherry's and it was wonderful.

I gave you a 5* review due to the exceptional service...

DQ some of you should be ashamed with this establishment and I don’t think it meets the DQ brand or expectations. I frequent Texas quite a bit and I always stop at a DQ for the tacos and nachos deluxe and this visit was very disappointing. I ordered nachos deluxe with chips on side and boy did I get chips but half a small white cup of meat, a cup of melted cheese and a cup of lettuce that wouldn’t fill up one of my grandsons. When I asked where my beans were I was informed it don’t come with them!! I can show you the website where it does SMDH. I ordered a Texas size sweet tea (y’all can’t call a 32 oz cup Texas size either) I got last of tea which didn’t fill my glass and when I asked if they had more in back I was asked if the one out here was empty I said yes and was told then they out of it. So I asked if they only make so many pitchers a day and was told they could make another but would take a few minutes. FFS On to my Reese’s blizzard, where in the heck is my Reese’s. Good gosh you can see a couple of specks but every other DQ I frequent you can actually tell it’s Reese’s. 34 bucks and some change later, I’ll never eat at this damn establishment again...

I ordered a jalito ranch burger with no lettuce. They put lettuce on it. When I took the lettuce off the jalito ranch came off with it. Instead of just giving me a small side of ranch the cook in the back (an older lady) was a total jerk and argued with me and said she put it on the burger with the lettuce and it wasn’t her fault. They were going to make me pay for it. Then to insult me more, she gave me a side of jalito each that was such a small amount you couldn’t get it out of the bottom of the little container. My wife went up to talk to them and she still argued with my wife about it and was a jerk to her. Then she turned around and was a jerk to the girl who took the order who was obviously newer. Absolutely the worst service I have ever experienced at a...
