Plenty of parking outside of the restaurant
MAKE A RESERVATION otherwise you will wait a looooong time for a table. Specially at dinner time.
This is a pretty upscale place for the area so expect very expensive dinner on your plate.
They are right in front of some water with a marina and they have outside sitting and a garden hangout lounge thing going on. Pretty nice looking place I must say.
The restrooms were in a shed outside though I heard that they also had a bathroom inside.
The server was friendly but she also seemed a bit annoyed that our party was a bit large. They do have a bit of an "we busy we don't really care if u don't get to eat here" kind of attitude to them I felt like. The server got nicer and nicer as time went on, so that was good.
The atmosphere and decor was pretty nice and more of a fancy kind of place, here u will see families, couples and friends. It has a mom and pop small restaurant vibe to it.
The market price items u see at the menu u will be able to see the price of the day on a board at the entrance of the sinning area of the restaurant along with the specials for of the day.
The appetizers came out and were eaten a long time before my drink even arrived !!! It took so long I was getting annoyed to see that the bar was that slow. I started to feel like I should have walked myself to the bar and ordered as the people at the bar were getting drinks faster than the tables.
The music was low and I like that but it was so low that I was not even sure if there was music at all some times.
FELLIN NAUTI- this was the drink I ordered it is like a coconut on the rim, creamy chocolate martini kind of drink, it took so long to come that i took two sips and ordered another one already so i could have the time to wait.
LOBSTER MAC AND CHEESE- first let me talk about the side. It was literally 4 spears of asparagus I wanted to laugh, However when it came to the mac and cheese itself they dis a great job, the mac and cheese was creamy and fresh, I was surprised how buttery it tasted and the size of the lobster pieces was very generous! The size of the lobster pieces on the dish was pretty impressive as well as the amount of lobster in it. I am happy with it and I can recommend this dish hands down if u on your cheat day. The size of the dish was pretty ok too for one person.
COCONUT CREAM PIE- I have had this as an ice cream flavor at the cold stone creamery, so I needed to go for it here and see how the real thing tasted. Let me tell u.... this is heaven!!!! Amazed. Very creamy very coconuty and the merengue on top is just to die for. This is a must desert here omgggg....
In summary I think this is a worth place to visit but be aware to MAKE RESERVATION and expect things to take a while...
Read moreI I love the location but never blown away by the food or service.
I visited tonight and ordered the Filet Oscar. I ordered the filet med-well and asked the server if the roasted potatoes had garlic ( I'm allergic)...the server answered with a vague 'it's an herb seasoning but not very strong' I asked again if it had garlic and she said (shrugging her shoulders) 'I don’t think so but didn't offer to ask the kitchen.
My filet was rare (blood on plate) and the crab meat was 'refrigerator cold' with warm hollandaise drizzled over it. The roasted potatoes had rosemary and minced garlic so I asked for rice. She brought me a tiny side of scalding (microwaved rice).
I have ZERO problem paying fine dining prices, but if you're going to charge fine dining prices then these are unacceptable mistakes. I left a chunk of bright red filet on my plate, in a pool of blood & my server didn't notice or ask if everything was OK. My meal was $48 and I wanted to LOVE It but I don't like rare meat.
The strawberry rhubarb pie margarita was awesome.
I understand the struggles of owning a restaurant and problems with hiring servers right now, but you need to do better. I suggest menu class everynight before opening so staff can sample the items and have knowledge about the food.
The drinks always take a very long time, which is surprising when the restaurant is not that busy. Often thevdrink are watered down by melted ice once served.
The hostess kept trying to sit parties (including us) at a table in the direct blinding sun (on covered deck) and every party asked to be moved...there were other open tables so it didn't make sense (I do understand servers having sections but no one was going to stay there). We even moved our table over 4 feet so one party could slide theirs over...they moved anyway...They could fix that with a bamboo type roll shade when the sun is setting (it was blinding)
I served and tended bar for many many years, so I understand the struggles but know things can be done better.
I am a local and want to LOVE this place but always leave feeling disappointed and knowing that it 'could be awesome' but they continually miss the mark and make it not worth it to pay fine dining prices for just 'ok.'

Read moreFriends asked us to join them for dinner at Kimberly's last night. It couldn't have been a more gorgeous summer evening in Maine, with the sun setting and a bit lf a chill in the air, so they had reserved us a table outside on the deck. I have to say that the view is probably the biggest draw of this dining establishment. While the service was friendly and prompt, they were out of a few menu items - lobster and clans I believe. I know that they're not to blame entirely for that.. but just wanted to mention in case you have your heart set on a specific dish. Never hurts to call ahead and ask. I had the bacon wrapped scallops with maple syrup. They were cooked to perfection and ac nice appetizer sized plate. My husband and friend opted for the oysters, which they said were delicious. Our other friend had the calamari which he was very pleased with. It was a large plate nicely breaded and fried. The bread basket appeared full of warm rolls. There is a nice craft cocktail menu. I choose the blueberry mojito which was okay. A bit strong and the smashed berries at the bottom made it hard to drink. The guys had beers. For dinner I had the lobster scallop risotto. It was good. Not great. Almost needed something else for a bit of excitement. But it was a nice sized portion.my husband had the chicken special - a panko pistachio breaded cutlet that he said was dry. However he enjoyed the kettle chips on the side. Our friends husband ordered the fried dinner which was a selection of fried seafood. It was a huge amount and he said it was delicious. Our fourth at the table had the blackened haddock. She liked it, but everyone agreed the side of veggies was underseasoned. We were full so skipped dessert, although the options looked great. Blueberry pie, carrot cake etc. The sun was setting and we had front row seats waterside. There's a nice fire pit area with corn hole set up. I would go back, but I think opt for one of the more traditional Maine seafood dishes. The fried haddock, fried platter, calamari, etc. That seems to be where...
