We’ve eaten here a handful of times. The food is exceptionally over priced, the pizza is pretty soggy and it’s a good day if your wings are cooked through I’ve personally experienced the nauseating experience of biting into a chicken wing that was perfectly crisped on the outside and raw in the middle, also occurred to 3 other families I know, yikes. The staff are young and inexperienced, there doesn’t seem to be much leadership or oversight in staffing. One day a kid was goofing around, which is fine they are kids, back in the prep area and had his hands on about 20 different surfaces while making a pizza, maybe COVID has made me more aware of infection control, maybe I’m being dramatic but it seemed unsettling, per usual there was no one that looked older than 19/20 around, and believe me I think 19/20 year old can be quite mature and responsible but gosh that’s a lot for them to have to deal with, developmentally the maturity just isn’t there. Also, they randomly stop taking orders there’s no pattern just if they decide they are too busy so don’t bank on being able to eat there if you’re heading through the area because there’s a solid chance they aren’t taking orders, it has happened to us on several occasions. Seems to mostly just be a convenient spot for locals more than anything. Also it takes forever to get your food, even when you’re the only patron there, initially the owner advertised how quick the oven cooked the pizza, and by cooked he meant melted the cheese because the minute you would pick the slice up you’d quickly realize it was still dough. The menu has whittled down to mostly just pizza, probably because they needed to find simple foods to prep because they can’t seem to keep staff or have enough cooking space for the length of time they need to cook. The sauce has improved some since they opened so that’s a plus, it’s more than just tomato sauce it seems now. The pizzas aren’t consistently made, however, some days there is more pepperoni some days less, sometimes too much sauce others too little, back to the poor leadership I can assume. Don’t try to give the owner any constructive feedback I heard he’ll just tell you not to come back …? The seating outside is really crowded and the grass is so weedy and buggy it’s hard to relax but inside is so loud it isn’t much better. So… that being said I still think a small business deserves some praise, it’s a rough time to be a business owner, but some business owners make it harder on themselves by not doing a very good job of it, it’s definitely not...
Read moreWe’re delighted to have such a dining option in the south metro. It’s really an exceptional experience offered in Hampton, MN next to Farmington, where we reside. The owners, a husband-wife duo, Michelle and Eric; have pushed past early setbacks like the fire when renovating the building. We‘re proud of them and appreciate their dedication to serve the Hampton community and beyond.
It’s an ideal outing for the whole family for dinner, and lunch on the weekends.
It ranks tops as a great local place for the community to gather and connect over food and or a beverage. The pizza made on location in their wood-fire pizza over is consistently incredibly tasty. However, my favorite is the Dry-Rub Chicken Wings, which are done to perfection. If you get the small basket, you’ll likely be wishing for the large basket with more wings.
The Moscow Mule and Bourbon Old Fashion are exceptionally good among their Signature Beverages.
Parking is no problem. There is both an ample parking lot in back and curbside parking that is sufficient on almost any occasion. The open park-like grassy expanse to the right makes for a kick-back restful outdoor eating pleasure.
Meric’s has responsibly taken all necessary precautions for people to order take out and stay safe during COVID-19. Outdoor tables were 6 feet apart or more and all employees were wearing masks, and taking appropriate precautions. We look forward to when pandemic restrictions are lifted and hope that makes it easier to offer salads and roasted veggies once again.
It’s a local restaurant that we’ve already gone back to multiple times and highly...
Read moreI get that it can get busy, I can get that keeping staff in this era can be difficult, however, I don't get 30 minute waits on pizza and salad. If I hadn't finally mentioned something after 20 minutes our salad would have come after our pizza. We only got it because I mentioned it and they had our salad moved up to be done more quickly. Sorry to whoever ended up waiting even longer after us because of that. The pizza, while pretty tasty, had all the good toppings on one side of the pizza. We watched as they would bring pizzas over to the brick oven on the pizza board, shake them (assuming so they don't stick), and watch as toppings would fly off and scatter on the floor. Wasteful and disappointing to see that mess and lack of good quality control. So many good things here, but suffering from some execution problems. We wouldn't go out of our way to return at this point as it doesn't seem at the same level it was the first time we visited not long after opening. I don't think it would take much to correct these things to...
