Ordered a cafe au lait - right off their coffee menu and they didn’t know what it was. Ordered the most expensive omelette I ever ordered (their sunrise omelette for almost $13 dollars) and it consisted of basic store bought thin sliced sandwich ham, uncooked spinach (a couple of leaves, and two thin slices of tomato) on what was definitely a two egg (not three egg) omelet. No seasoning added whatsoever (not even a little salt). They advertise a three egg omelette , it was not. No sides, no home fries, no grits, nothing comes with this tiny, no taste, bland omelette. They did ask if I wanted toast with my omelette I said yes wheat. What came out with the omelette was one slice of wheat bread, not even toasted, plain, no butter, nothing. It was a joke of a meal at a gourmet price. My wife ordered a ham and cheese omelette with the side of bread being an English muffin. What she got was an egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin. So, for a bland, tiny omelette with no sides, a small egg sandwich and two coffees (cafe au lait is basic regular coffee with hot milk), our bill was $28 dollars not including tip. Crazy most horribly expensive breakfast we ever had. Not understanding the good reviews, as those folks must have eaten in a different place. First and last...
Read moreI have been a regular customer of this restaurant since it opened in March. The employees are friendly, and the food and coffee are great. The sunrise omelette is a large three-egg omelette filled with ham, cheese, fresh tomato, fresh spinach, and sautéed onions and is excellent every time. My oldest enjoyed the waffles with fresh strawberries and blueberries; he said they were "REALLY REALLY good" and plans to order them again the next time he is in for breakfast. The buffalo chicken wrap is filled with chicken, enough to satisfy my growing teenager and spicy enough to be enjoyed but not too spicy. The smoothies are made with fresh fruit and are simply outstanding. Several times I have enjoyed the atmosphere of natural light in the dining room and fresh flowers decorating every table. The addition of the New Horizon Café...
