My wife, another couple, and myself visited the Bistro last Saturday evening. So let me get the bad stuff out of the way up front so we can get to the good stuff, because the good far outweighed the bad. So we did have three minor disappointments 1. There was no kind of bread with the pasta, some sort of bread, even a decent size bread stick would have been appreciated. 2. all three with me had the Fries and no one liked them. The were fat fries but they had that coating on the outside that's suppose be extra crispy or something, no clue but they weren't good, and the insides was just like puffed air & potato. They would do much better to hand slices fries to order and twice dip them so their crispy. 3. The ranch dressing tasted like a Kraft mass bottle, which has that sour taste to it, ranch should be slightly mayonnaise'y and this was not. The salads themselves were good though. So now to the Good Stuff: We were there when they opened the doors right on time at 4pm. We were immediately seated and drinks orders taken. They don't have a lot of beers on tap but they do have a pretty good size list of craft & local Virginia beers. Our waiter John did an excellent job, very efficient and friendly. The facility is nicely done inside and was very clean, but it's brand new so it should be. My friends wife had the crab cake platter, looked at tad over deep friend to me, but she said it was perfect for her and she enjoyed it. He had the burger, it looked like a good burger, he enjoyed though he said it was just a touch over Med. My wife had the Fish & Chips, three or four big that were well battered and cooked perfectly. The cole slaw was good but on the small side. I had the Pasta Carbonara with mushrooms & shrimp, I will tell you it was Excellent tasting. And the bowl size was just right, enough to really fill you up, but not so much that you leave feeling like crap...lol. I will tell you because it was that good if the bowl was bigger I'd have just kept eating..LOL. . Overall we were very pleased with our visit, and if we are ever back in the area we would visit again, we did make a special trip down there from Williamsburg just to visit this establishment and we were happy that we did. So Yes I absolutely do recommend it, especially if you are a local...go out support your good local businesses. To everyone at the Bistro I say, could small things I'd address, but well done we really enjoyed it.

Went for the first time Sunday for a date. The food was amazing and all for a very affordable price! The Crab Dip was addicting. The Big Bang Shrimp was busting with flavor. And the Bistro Burger was nothing I've ever tasted in a regular burger before with its bacon jam. (I added fried egg to my burger to make it more of a brunch special.) On top of great food, the service was just as equally awesome! Our waitress was sweet and down to earth. And we got to meet the owner too who seemed hard-working and humble, making sure we were good all the way up until the end. Will 1000% be back for a round 2 to try more of the menu.

It wasn't a bad little place. Me and my wife were the only ones there. The shrimp appetizer was very good. I had a hamburger and my wife had a salad. The lady that served and cooked the food was really nice.

Everything about The Corner Bistro and Catering is fantastic. I recently had them cater an event on 12 OCT 19. They catered my small, backyard wedding and I can not say enough wonderful things. Andrew, my chef, and Miss Donis were a dream to work with. Andrew helped us create a menu that was deliciously amazing. From the planning to the day of set up to cocktail hour to dinner service and to the clean up. Everything was perfect. The Corner Bistro and Catering provided my wedding guests with the most delicious food! People are still talking about how great everything was! Boneless chicken wings. Taco bar. Prime rib. Yummy. Delicious. Perfection!!!!!! If you have an event - you won’t be disappointed with...

This place is ridiculous. The first few times we went were pretty good. The last couple were terrible. We went in today for brunch and it took over an hour for the server to come over to inform us that our order was just being started. At that time I asked for another drink. After 20 minutes of waiting for it I cancelled it. Ten minutes later it was brought over. When the food finally came it was barely luke warm. I let someone know and he was very apologetic and did comp the bill. If this was the first time that I had a bad experience I would give it another try but sadly its happened before so I will not...
