The White Oak Lodge — Restaurant in Hampton

I walked to the lodge after having a terrible seizure and really needed food. I ordered a sandwich and was given an attitude that I could only have a side other then chips if I ordered a burger which I knew from experience wasn't true but I let that go. When my food was ready they handed it to me and I handed them my debit card she said we don't take those unless you spend $10 I said that usually for credit cards she laughed at me and looked at another customer and said no that's all cards. I asked her what I was supposed to do she got an attitude again and said I either used the ATM or I needed to give the food back. I asked for a manager and she looked at a customer and started laughing again and said well he's not here and walked away. I asked another employee about the manager she said oh no and asked what I needed I told her what was going on and that it wasn't right that I had bad seizure and really needed food and she just said oh and walked away. So needless to say I left the establishment embarrassed and crying. I didn't get my food stamps this month I little have no food in my house so I depended on that sandwich and it was taken away from me and I was laughed at for it by your employees and customers because your employees made it laughable.

UPDATE: Went back with cash after picking through all of my change she laughed at my change said oh you still want it it's probably cold. I said no you need to make me a new one. She didn't like that very much I can tell by the disgusted look on her face and she says I can't there's no more eggs sorry and looked at me like what you gonna do now.

The White Oak Lodge is a hidden gem that my fiancée and I stumbled upon, and it quickly became one of our favorite spots. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The décor gives off a rustic charm that’s both cozy and inviting.

For dinner, I ordered the chicken and cheese quesadilla, and it was absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside and packed with flavorful, gooey cheese and tender chicken on the inside. My fiancée opted for the chicken tenders, and they did not disappoint either. The tenders were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside, with just the right amount of seasoning.

What really stood out to us was the excellent service. The staff was friendly and attentive, checking in just the right amount to make sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. You can really tell this is a family-owned place where the team takes pride in what they do.

Although we didn’t get a chance to catch the live music, the ambiance was perfect for a relaxed evening out. We’re already planning our next visit and can’t wait to experience more of what The White Oak Lodge has to offer.
