Tuckers — Restaurant in Hampton

Ok, so another update after my 2nd visit. Placed another order online to pick up. I received 2 phone calls regarding the order for clarification which was appreciated. After waiting additional time to pick up my order, I arrived picked up and headed back to work. Several portions were missing once again. I called before closing and did not get an answer. I left a voice mail message and waited 5 days for a return call for a refund for the missing items. Still have not received that phone call. So I'll be going in person to get this resolved. If items aren't available the customer deserves to know. Do not take my money then not even attempt to rectify the situation!

1st vist--The food was pretty good. The food was absolutely delicious! No real complaints on the food other than minor stuff missing (dipping sauces missing which were an upcharge per container)... tried the brisket sandwich, fries, mac & cheese, baked beans, sweet n spicy chicken wings, and medium water ice (ordered passion fruit Boba (another upcharge) to go in the passion fruit waterice which was out and received strawberry lemonade- but no Boba as requested. I must add - I placed order for PICK UP entirely online with a specific time (which was automatically generated). I then waited an additional 15 minutes past my pick up time (waiting for text updates which never came). All that to say... when I arrived order was not ready. I ordered at 1130 and pick up was for 12pm... I arrived at 1220...was not handed my food until 1245. Do not go in a rush AT ALL.. Again the food was good but the wait time was horrible. I'll certainly return ... just not for lunch when I have a designated...

First time 8/15/2024 honest review ..... MEDIOCRE and honestly that's just being nice . Menu is easy to read and kind of gives you carnival selection. I spent $53 and gave $3 tip. I got smoked turkey leg (salty, yes. but I don't think they season the meat with anything at all. I think they slap that aluminum foil on it and throw it on the smoker maybe . No pepper , garlic powder , onion powder no nothing) , Collard greens (stated it was made with turkey not a piece of meat in sight . as well the over use of vinegar and sugar? I don't know why sugar was included but very sweet and sour), 2 orders of Mac and cheese (looks nice but cold and per made , maybe made yesterday but not today though), Yams (too sweet and too much juice? And I question that because maybe their canned but definitely sweet and not drained maybe drain half the cans) , Fish sandwich (not seasoned fish but looked better than it tasted , load it up with hot sauce and it'll do) BEST THING IS THE FRIED WINGGETS -and considering ain't too many ways to fry chicken that's not a good thing ; considering the variety ordered . (Got the honey garlic flavor and it was 8/10 ) OVERALL I WOULD NOT EAT HERE AGAIN , NOT WORTH IT. I did have high hopes , the front area was very clean and the music was going but I should've known when there was more people at the taco bell/KFC across the street . oh and the BIGGEST LIE is that that lemonade is FRESHLY SQUEEZED lol yeah right out the powder packet lol and the punch is Kool aid. DEFINITELY A NO and if I wouldve had a bad day I would've cried . Smh...

Well starting off I’ve had tuckers multiple times thinking it was one of those “gotta catch em on a good day” type spots but not once ever was my food good and at best it was just ok for starters the people at the window taking your order never seem to even wanna be there or take your order they always seem irritated and after you order they slam the window and you don’t hear anything til your foods ready

Then second the food itself……. Needless to say it just isn’t good bbq I’ve personally had the pull pork sandwich and ribs and majority of the sides…..the bbq itself always has a overly sour rancid taste with a sweet kick and the all the side taste like can food the was warmed in a microwave which is another thing all times I’ve been here my food was luke warm the Mac and cheese is just overcooked and mushy

Lastly it looks as if it would be a nice stop to slow down and eat there but the times I’ve went it was just dead no music no one outside just soulless with no atmosphere it just feels like a get your food and get on somewhere type of spot

Tuckers if you step up to our bbq game and put some actual care into your spot it would be a good place to eat but right now it feels and taste like your just serving people half made meals to keep the bills paid and what is any establishment without...
