I've lived in the area and bought Panther my whole life growing up and I think the pizza still tastes great.
With that said, the consistency and quality has faltered the past few years. At first I thought it was just me getting unlucky, but then I read some of the other reviews and go "oh, it's not just me!"
We ordered 2 pizzas, the first one a thin crust extra crispy, no crust seasonings. The second a normal crust, normal bake, with the seasonings.
Well, we got 2 identical pizzas. No difference between thick and thin, and crust toppings on both. The "thin" crust was the same bake and not extra crispy. I like the pizza, so whatever, but the folks I bought the pizza for want thin crust, etc.
In the photos, you can see the crust bake being identical (I flipped a slice of each pizza). You can also see how the toppings don't go anywhere near the edge of the pizza, leaving a lot of bread. Some of the pieces had no pepperoni on them, some had like 2-3 on one edge and bread with no sauce or cheese on the other half of the slice.
Also the website says deals on buy 2 16" pizzas and Krazy bread for $38, but there is no way to redeem the code or add to cart or click on the image to get the deal.
Love panther, love supporting local. But the prices going up and and quality and consistency going down (others have mentioned undercooked dough, which we've had on other orders) - I think I'll wait a few years...
Read moreOn their menu it didn't specify certain ingredients on one of their Strombolis. After we ordered that Stromboli there was an ingredient in there we couldn't eat. No big deal, bring back the ordered item, point out the flaw and either get your money back or a new order of the food without that particular ingredient. Right? Not in that place. The manager at first tried to tell me 'that's the way it is' and 'I don't know what's written on the menu'. After discussing how this is not OK, that such mishaps happen quite often in the restaurant business and get fixed, and that I want to get reimbursed; she agreed and did reimburse me. Although she did say 'you should have asked ahead of time', which is true. But it was the first time there for us, so sometimes you got to have mistakes happen first before knowing better. I was disappointed at the initial reaction of 'I don't care if you can't eat this ingredient that was not listed on the menu, I'm keeping your money and I will not...
Read moreWaited an hour and a half to pay $40 (after tip) for an undercooked and cold Stromboli and dry wings. Called the shop and spoke with the assistant Mgr who was apologetic and understanding. She offered a refund, which is nice. It took another hour for the driver to bring my money back so instead of going to get something else to eat now I sit here eating leftovers instead of the nice treat I was hoping for. First time trying Panther and probably my last. Completely underwhelmed.
Edit.... unsurprisingly underwhelming response from the owner. The food was inedible, like I said, undercooked. The dough was still RAW. We did pull a piece apart to see if any part of it was cooked through, but it wasnt.I did have one bite of a wing, just enough to know that they sucked too. I don't think that constitutes eating half the food. No effort was made to "make it right" aside from returning my money for inedible food! If I could give 0...
