Thursday 10/18/2018 I ordered online on my smart phone. The website glitched and sent it to another store which was this store on High street. I tried to call the store and no one answered. I called subway customer service and they were so nice, he said he was going to send the store a request to refund me my $10.81 it could take 2-5 business days. I have not heard anything back from them, I called the store they finally answered and she sounded like she hated her job. She said "Subway" did not even say her name. I explained the situation and asked if my refund has been processed yet. She said I would have to call the owner and gave me his name "Richard" and his phone number. I called and he was rude off the bat. He said Hello, I go on to explain my situation again and he listened but then said because I ordered online and it was my mistake that he was not going to refund me my money. He also went on to say if you were a good customer and came to my store all the time we would understand mistakes happen and come on in and well make you a sandwich. How ever because it was my fault, which the system glitched on their website. Then I will not process your refund. I just hung up because I was just so angry that he was rude to me. I am a good customer of subway I eat there all the time just not the store on high street because its 15-20 minutes away from me an I have no vehicle so I walk to their store from work and school. So I called corporate and got a very nice lady named Patti I believe. She was so upset by the way Richard had spoken to me. She said it would have been one thing if he was polite and explained that he has to make sure everyone is fed, etc. she said because he was so rude to me she gave me an e-gift card for $10. I was happy with that because I don't care about the refund I just want the sandwich I paid for. Will never purchase a sub from any subway owned by Richard. EVER. Walked in to double check because it still showed online that my order was being made and patiently waited as 2 other people were ahead of me. I over hear the one worker telling another customer that their not sure why their online order was canceled and subway must be the one cancelling it within a certain amount of time if they donât except the order. I still waited to double check that mine was canceled to where they told me the same story. I had to drive all the way back home because I didnât have my wallet and decided to go to a different subway location to get my food. the workers there told me they had never heard of such a thing and showed me how online orders come up on the screen. Definitely not the first time Iâve had problems with Hanover subway in the last 6 months but not sure whoâs great idea it was to have 2 teenagers work alone because It really seems as if they did...
