Moyashi Hanover, IN Blink and you will miss this place. And that would be a tragedy. It's in a small house, but the flavors Chef Toi is creating are off the charts. I ordered the Foxy Lady, Dirty Old Man, and Executioner. I wish I had taken menu photos, but alas I did not. Picked Foxy Lady because it had super white. Picked Dirty Old Man because it was Chef's choice sashimi with avocado. Picked Executioner because of all the over the top spicy ingredients-- so as a hot head I had to try it. I didn't really use any wasabi, soy, or ginger-- it wasn't needed. But I did use the Ponzu that Chef Toi included because it added an awesome punch to the fish. Everything was amazing. Super fresh and high quality fish. Perfectly rolled sushi. Gorgeous presentation. And the heat on that Executioner? OUTSTANDING. If you're like me and always order the spiciest thing only to often be disappointed you absolutely MUST go try this roll. Instant adrenaline rush from the spice. If you know me, you know I actively seek the best sushi. And in the midwest that is a difficult quest--especially after having it on the different coasts. Moyashi is the best I've found in Indiana.

I am absolutely blown away by how incredibly fantastic the food is. We got the new Kentucky roll, the Hollywood roll, and the lobster roll as well as the seafood chowder and everything was to die for. My personal favorite is the seafood chowder, I could eat it for every meal for the rest of my life and die happy. At first, I thought the food couldn't possible be as good as I'd heard because the location is untraditional and there isn't much seating but I was so wrong. I've eaten at so many subpar sushi places and even the sushi restaurants that I thought were amazing can't come close to the excellence at Moyashi.

The sushi here is what you’d expect from some of world’s finest establishments, and I’ve had sushi from many places to compare. The prices are a little higher than most of the other local restaurants but it’s actually quite a bargain for the quality and serving portions. They are carry out only now but well worth picking up and bringing home for dinner. My recommendation is the Mountain Roll. It’s not on the menu anymore, but she’ll still make it for you if you ask nicely!

A small group of friends and I attended Moyashi as an experiment of experience. Always out for great sushi coming to the midwest as coastal inhabitants. As a group, three of us, choose the surprise sashimi platter. Pick your range, pick the number of people to feed and the Chief makes a surprise dish. Excuse me but I can not remember all that was prepared for us; octopus, yellowtail, salmon, tuna, white something, a spicy something wrapped in seaweed. Plated with red beats, carrots, and white cabbage (possibly). The additional party member was my 4 year old daughter, ordering fish and chips. The fish was a little fishy but with a dab of tartar sauce you couldn't taste it any longer. They were much larger then expected, definitely making it rather worth the price. They were a little and flakey, a golden brown. House chips were good too. I give moyashi a two thumbs up, a most definitely going to go bad but only because of their crazy high prices I deducted a star. My personal opinion always leaves room for improvement. Considering the circumstance of the room development, there occupancy limit, they were every knowledged and pleasant. I can not wait to try more. Keep up the...

Visited moyashi for lunch this past monday before leaving town.Tried 2 rolls, chowder and a dessert . Everything was amazing. Everything was so fresh and was flawlessly executed. Not to mention the place is super clean. Chef and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Most importantly, they pay attention to detail. Food was amazing, best sushi I've ever had. I lived in hanover for about 2yrs. And I was never impressed with any of the restaurants. Mostly because everything was just generic. Food was good but it was nothing special. Hanover is lucky to have a hidden gem like Moyashi in there community. Great Job...
