22 yrs in Sussex County and this place is Hands Down thee BEST bagel place around!

New Owners bringin' their own fresh flavorful variety of bagels daily! Their bagels are yummy!!! If you like hot/spicy, check out their signature Firehouse bagel or Jalapeno bagel, you won't be disappointed. They bake everything right on the premises. Muffins, rolls and croissants. Spreads are fresh and delicious to compliment any bagel.

If you're not in a hurry, sit and have one of their delicious breakfast platters like french toast or veggie omelet w/ home fries and toast. You won't be able to eat it all!

If you don't want to sit indoors, but enjoy the nice weather, they have plenty of outside seating.

They are our stop after working out at the local Y down the road.

We also grab subs (Italian the best!) when we head out to do a hike. It's on the way and so convenient, but you might miss it as it is tucked down off the road.

Special Note: their bagels freeze really well!!!! Taste almost as good as if they were fresh!

Great job Abby & Cecilia!

So happy you opened up in Sussex County on Rte 94...

Born and raised in NJ I have high expectations of a bagel. This place doesn’t serve bagels- they serve rolls and call them bagels. The consistency is definitely more like a roll than a bagel. And they’re not even good rolls, they’re not even okay- they’re kinda bad actually. I only ate the contents of my sandwich, not the bread, it was that bad. The beverages out of the cooler (we got 4 different kinds from 4 different fridges) were barely cold. The girl at the counter was nice enough but when I asked for straws they didn’t have them. She asked if I wanted napkins and I said yes but didn’t get them. The thing that really gets me though- the place is FILTHY. Every surface is grimy. The bathroom is unusable it’s so gross. There’s a sign not to touch the light switch because it’s automatic but even the switch “nobody touches” is covered in grease and dust and just so gross. They need to close for like a month, clean every surface repeatedly and learn to make an...

I had a breakfast bagel sandwich - Taylor Ham, 2 eggs, and American cheese on an everything bagel. Excellent sandwich that deserves 5 out of 5 stars. The bagel was top notch - crispy on the outside and soft and chewy in the center. All the ingredients were cooked nicely on the flat top and were hot when served. The cheese was so well melted it created a sauce when mixed with the butter the eggs were fried in and juices from the ham, which the bagel held very well. It's worth mentioning that their extensive menu includes well over a dozen bagel varieties, many cream cheeses & other breakfast options, in addition to a wide array of lunch options in the form of hot and cold hoagies plus dozens of what appeared to be freshly prepared deli items (tuna salad, potato salad, ect.). I look forward to stopping again the next time I...

Avoid this place. Overpriced, low quality, and very rude when I called and asked to fix the problem. I ordered two subs with just veggies and cheese (because we don’t eat meat) and when I got home and opened them, they’re all bread (and the bread is stale). They didn’t include all the veggies I asked for as well. When I called, the owner offered to remake them if I brought all the food back, but when I asked to leave a piece of food so my kids can eat (30 minute drive round trip), I was told no. He doesn’t seem to understand how to speak respectfully to women. I went here because we love Firehouse Bagels in Branchville but it’s closed. These are not the same people. Also, as I waited for my food, I watched almost everyone have to get their orders or food corrected. Go to any other bagel place around here and I guarantee it will be better.

I stopped by Firehouse Bagels and tried the bacon, egg, and cheese—honestly, it was average. What really stood out, though, was the condition of the place. Nearly everything felt either sticky or slippery, which was off-putting. The high chairs were especially filthy and sticky, and it didn’t look like they had been cleaned in a while. There seemed to be a layer of sticky dust coating everything, including the stuffed animals scattered around the shop. I really hope the next time I visit, the cleanliness has improved. The food has potential, but the overall atmosphere made it hard to enjoy the experience.

Delicious fresh bagels on the spot. The 2egg Taylor Ham and cheese with ketchup was perfect. Place is very clean, great customer service and very convenient. If you are in the mood for a fresh tasty bagel, I definitely recommend this place.
