Well, the nubuger is really good but the last time we were there when they opened at 11 am (they need to open earlier like 9 am) the meat needed drained just a bit because it made my bun soggy. BUT, when I go out to eat something wonderful and tasty then this is IT. I rate it better than any other quick place for great food.
In my extensive search for the best cherry limeade in South Central Kansas D & J's is the only place to have such a tasty one. They get 5 stars for Best Cherry Limeade.
4.5 on the nubuger because I think they still use dehydrated onions on it. I get mine with hold the pickle, hold the dehydrated onions and I get it my way. The people who work there are friendly and do a great job.
The only other thing is I'm still unclear what they want to call it because when you write a check they call it something besides D & J's. And they also called it Pedro's on the sign.
So I don't really care what they settle on for the name of the business as long as it's D & J's because it's been named that for as far back as I can remember and I've been going there as a kid I would ride my horse out there for lunch.
Very glad that it's still open and I can afford to eat here. Overall I will give it a total of 4 and 1/2 stars but I see they are just settling into running (60's style diner or the malt shop or ???) D & J's. Good place, great people and...
