There's something about being on and around the water that just seems to set your head right. It's a special kind of mentality that is possessed by boat and water lovers that seems to give them a different perspective on life, and you're completely immersed in that lifestyle when you're at Bumpers Landing. Great food, the atmosphere is alive and well, but laid back around the lunch hour, and of course, the water, boats, big-water yachts, and the people who love them all around you. I mean, where else are you going to feel the vibes and see a sign on the wall pointing out that it's 1316 nautical miles to Boca Grande, 1322 to Cabbage Key, 1344 to The Cottage, 1347 down to Fort Meyers Beach, 1367 to Naples, and a leisurely 1381 miles to Marco Island? And that's all reachable from Bumpers Landing- by watercraft. Somebody there has a flair for spicing up the walls and the cuisine, and when you finally get around to leaving, you just know you'll be back again, but you can't say for sure whether you'll arrive by boat or car. Either way, it'll be a pleasure.

Stopped here for a late lunch with my kids on a gorgeous summer Sunday afternoon. Great seating arrangements and plentiful outdoor seating right along the water. The food was all great. One of the better Nashville hot sandwiches I've had, and my kids both enjoyed their meals. Portions for price were pretty good, especially for the kids' burger and pizza. The only negative I had was that our waitress was hardly attentive. Once our food order was placed, she wouldn't even stop at our table unless we stopped her ourselves - including the couple of times we had empty drinks sitting out near the end of the table, clearly needing refills. She'd walk by our table and empty glasses 2 or 3 times before we would have to stop her and ask for refills. Clearly not a huge issue, but just unexpected as most waitresses will offer refills when they see empty glasses, especially when everyone at the table is still mid-meal. Aside from that, it was a great visit, and we would definitely return!

My wife and I were placed at a very nice outdoor table. After a beer we ordered our dinners. Wife likes grouper and ordered this with fries. Grouper was VERY fishy tasting, and wife did not continue eating. This would have been fine to order alternative entree until Titus showed up at our table insisting I was rude for defending my wife’s taste and also claiming the grouper was one of the best sellers on the menu. We were refused any credit for meal not eaten and Titus was extremely rude and upset! Poor server paid for bad customer service with zero tip, even though I offered a $20 gratuity to remove uneaten meal. She told us management refused to delete charge for frozen, and thawed grouper fish. How do I know this? Server told us. Not fresh! And definitely tastes expired! Never again!!!

Last night with a party of 10, We were treated like complete trash. Even after we had to wait 30 minutes for a table which was fine.. We had to point out ourselves an available table.. The server did take our drink order.. Everything was fine up to this point, after our drink order was taken care of we didnt see the server again for almost an hour.. At some point after an hour she came back and took an order for only half out party apparently and disappeared again. Having children with us and with it getting late I went next door to check and see if they could serve our party @ Crews which they accommodated us and kept the kitchen open. At this point I gather my family and had them head next door. Doing the right thing i went to the bar to ask for my tab and again the server was no where to be found. Granted the place was busy no one could figure anything out or even knew who was handling our table. The server finally showed up and started verbally attacking me about the tab as if I was trying to walk off.. Umm... I was standing at the bar asking for my tab. To pay it? At this point the server insisted we pay the $50 tab for food that was never made, it was in the computer but she insisted it couldn't be cancelled.. Ok.. whatever my partner just nicely said it's no big deal but I want the food if i have to pay for it.. At this point another waitress come up and started in on myself and my wife insisting we were trying to leave the bar and not pay.. Again I'm standing at the bar trying to get the bill paid.. she accused us of hoping around the bar insisting we kept moving around... I had a party of 10.. we were not moving around.. there was no where to move.. all the while this was going on it had come to my attention that my 75 y.o. mother was being detained and verbally attacked for our drink tab outside and told where is the guy with the piercings he has to pay his tab..where my wife at that point had said he is at the bar trying to pay the tab.. At this point SECURTY is approaching me asking if everything was good, I responded with buddy I am just trying to pay my tab so I can leave please.. so the tab was paid for the drinks and food that was never made.. I left peacefully with my wife to head next door.. my partner stayed behind to get the food and pizzas that they insisted had to be paid for that were never made.. he waited another 40 minutes.. Holy smokes what a disaster.. We had asked for the waitresses name and she declined to give us her name.. Either way.. What a mess.. and horrible treatment of my family.. I am disappointed beyond belief that it even...

The atmosphere and view of the water sitting outside is really nice. I came out with my family as my dad became recently wheelchair bound and leaving the house is difficult let alone going to any indoor restaurant. I wanted an outdoor area to give him a change of scenery from the indoors and fresh air. We came on a Monday evening thinking that it might not be busy. I was wrong as due to the beautiful day it was very busy. The waitresses were very kind and thoughtful with helping open the gate to make it easier for the wheelchair to come through. They also helped move us up the list so we wouldn’t have to wait as long with my dad in the wheelchair which was very kind. Customer service and atmosphere was phenomenal. The food in the other hand was a different story. They have a sign in the front that says food can take upwards of 40 minutes to come out. Which is fine we were in no rush. The apps we got Calamari which was great and the buffalo chicken rangoons which were good but a little too much of the wrap. Two of us ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich it came out barely warm. Which again if we’re going to wait a long time for the food to come out, you’d hope it would be hot and fresh. Either they didn’t have a lot of waitresses or the food was forgotten and sat a long time. I’m not sure as I was more so focused on conversations amongst the table. Regardless the sandwich flavor for me was great and just needed to be hot and fresh. My dad had ordered their Salmon Dinner, which was also barely warm and way over cooked. Very poor seasoning on it, definitely do not recommend. My mom’s food (Chicken Dinner) seemed to have been forgotten about but they seemed to be able to make it pretty quick and as it was steaming hot when we told our server and she came back. Overall wouldn’t come here really for the food based on that day’s experience and the cost of that quality of food. But for the view and atmosphere that’s its...

We are locals who used to LOVE Bumpers. Their drinks are great and we love the atmosphere. However, the last several times we have been there the service is absolutely horrible to a point we don’t want to come back. No matter how busy they are(we’ve been here weekends, mornings, even weekday nights) it takes FOREVER to get a server and even when you finally get a server they take your order and it’s like a game of whether or not you’ll ever be able to catch their attention again. Any server we’ve had are nice and I don’t think they’re trying to be inattentive but the management here SUCKS. I’ve worked in a restaurant myself and have a family with a lot of restaurant managers/workers so I totally understand getting behind during busy periods, but it’s sad to not only wait over an hour and a half for food that’s not right majority of the time and try to order 2 drinks at a time because the server takes forever to come back, only to look around and see so many Bumpers Staff just standing around, walking past you when they can clearly see you need something, or a group of staff huddled in the corner together laughing/talking literally right next to angry tables. Any time I’ve been here during busy times I have NEVER seen a boss or manager on the floor or help any struggling areas. The service here could be so much improved if there was a leader guiding what servers are in charge of each section, helping run food, or even just there in general to encourage employees standing around to at least look like they care about all their guests who are dining even if they didn’t just get off of a boat. Like I said Bumpers used to be our favorite spot in Harrison Twp, it’s just so sad they can’t give better service because there are a lot of us out there that are extremely good tippers even if we don’t have...
