Sweeney's Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Harrison

Wow! Ok so let me start by saying i went here ONE time, sat at the bar.. ordered a Bud light & a plater of wings with four different flavor of wing on it. Best wings & nicest servers\bartenders on all of 58 at the very least. So fast forward about 3½ weeks! I just got off work & went to the bar. It happened to be the same bartender & she looked @ me & smiled as i sat down she was already setting a Bud light in front of me. I thought, "heck yea, she remembered what i drink" but this was just the tip of the ice burg. She proceeded to to name off all 4 flavors of wings that i ordered almost a month beforehand & asked if thats what i wanted again. I was so shocked & amazed i just said "yes!" (Although i wanted to try something new) I knew there was no way i could go wrong ordering those again. It was a different server that brought them out to me this time, but she was almost nicer than the bartender! & She came with such haste! I probably waited under ten minutes! SLOW & TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I called in an order at 6pm 1 app, 1 sandwich & 1 pork plate. They said 15-20 minutes it would be ready. My husband get there at 6:25 and they said “they forgot the appetizer ” and he was still waiting on all the food at 6:50! DONT TELL SOMEONE IT’LL BE 15-20 IF IT’S GOING TO TAKE A FREAKING HOUR!! not only that but you handed him the wrong bag once he finally got the food so he had to come BACK through and get the right food… why do we have to spend over an hour to get in your drive thru? we have lives and schedules that we will now be late for because of your incompetence!! We love the food but I will take my business elsewhere, there’s plenty of bbq places around here, you aren’t special!.. this isn’t the first time this has happened either, literally everytime we order food we have to sit and wait at MINIMUM 30+ minutes. RIDICULOUS!! I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for 15 years (5 of those years at a bbq place) and currently manage a bar/grill, I know it can be done efficiently and not waste people’s time.. I ordered the pulled pork plate with baked beans and coleslaw, and every bite was perfection. The meat was tender and juicy with just the right amount of bark, and the house-made sauce was the perfect balance of tangy and sweet. You can tell everything is made with care, love, and tradition.
