Jam Roc Restaurant And Lounge — Restaurant in Hartford

First time eating here 7/10/25 but I pass by it whenever I'm go to Windsor on the way too get Soul Food from Hot Pots or Lillies Soul Food just by chance I wanted Hot Pots this day and already passed by Lillies,it was packed and H.P. was closed it is one of the two days of the week they are normally closed and I didn't realize what day it was. Well on my way back too stand in line at Lillies I had decided Caribbean food will do and Jam Roc was up ahead so I pulled into the side street entrance but the parking lot was empty,as I went up to the double doors you could see the large dining room area was empty. So I walked along too the front to the main street also the front of Jam Roc establishment,there was a food truck in front I stood in line looking at their selection when I seen a couple walk out of the front door of Jam Roc,so I asked them were they open they stated yeah. When I entered it was empty I didn't ask but I think they only do take out there was like four empty McDonald style tables in there three people in front of me,the place was big inside where you place your order was close too where I parked on the outside I noticed that because a man walked in through the double doors that I didn't check too see if they were locked. Which when you enter through them you walk across a ballroom dance floor type of area,they cater events there......OK for food selection not a large menu You had your Curry Chicken,Goat,Shrimp. Jerk Chicken,Pork. Ox Tail. I didn't see Red Snapper or any other type of fish but didn't ask because I wasn't looking for fish that day, I went with the Jerk Pork I had first went for the the fried wing dings but the are made to order as you like so they were gonna be a little due to I like my wings extra crispy. So I went with the Pork with White rice and gravy from the Curry Goat over the rice. I got the medium plate like,when I told the lady at the register this was my first time here she must've told the cook in the back too hook me up so I will be a returning customer and I will be LOL that plate lasted two days the Pork had just enough Jerk on it with a nice kick, they were chopped into nice bite sized pieces and they give you a spicey dipping sauce also.. I came for lunch one afternoon and the person taking our order was VERY rude. She told us that" there was no salmon" ,we were taking back by this because we were told by another worker,who was very kind that,"salmon was made to order". She proceeded to rectify was her coworker said and their nasty attitude. Since there was an attempt to rectify the situation, I said I'll give them another try. Well tonight was that try and it will be the last time I'm going to this establishment. I went this evening with 5 other people who came in town and were VERY hungry. We approached the counter and one person wanted(you guessed it) salmon. The woman told my guest "no more salmon",I overheard her and said "I thought the salmon was made to order" she said "yes" then deflected to the other woman, (who left us originally to smile and take orders for several men that entered the establishment)saying "it depends on if she feels like making it". I have been in here a few times purchasing food and I have came at their club hours a few times my first time coming on a sunday The security guard charged me and only me to enter and there is no fee to come in but they only doing what they was told to do in this fine community I have been overcharged most of the time i came to purchase food never complained until recently during there club hours to one of the workers i was purchasing two drinks he did do his best to fix the issue but what I am really blown away by is that some idiot would lie and say when i first visit during club hours that I was supposedly had slept with someone in these people's public restroom, definitely a lie and i have never slept with no one in a public restroom, it's so sad how people will spread rumors in a community about you.That's definitely not true but to the idiot carry on with your lies your truths coming out real soon i have experienced a lot of unfair treatment and being overcharged in this community, but I have kept my mouth about it but definitely ready to tell my side of the...
