Really great food and prompt service.
If you are looking for a new and different place to have your Sunday lunch, consider this place.
The atmosphere is amazing. The restaurant is located in the old square area of downtown Hartford in one of the old storefronts. The interior is well decorated and gives you a warm southern feel. You are greeted by a hostess who will promptly show you to your seat.
The Sunday menu changes, but will give you the option to select a meat and 3 sides. We had the chicken tenders and tenderized fried pork steak. Both of the meat was great! As for the sides we had the green beans with bacon, corn chowder, Brussels sprouts, and the desserts which was chocolate cake and pecan cobbler. Every one of the sides was phenomenal. If you want a delicious dessert consider the pecan cobbler. It was one of the best things that I have ever had!
The price was not bad for a family of 4, around 30 bucks or so with my kids sharing a plate. We were in and out in less than 45 min.
If you show during their busy time there is a very nice patio area and courtyard on the side of the building with a fountain where the kids can play.
Definitely recommend...
Read moreI flat out do not know why anyone would not like Ketchem's Restaurant. The food is modern yet comforting and plentiful. Great little salad bar, mouth watering steaks and the atmosphere is delightful. If you have to wait for a table (yes, you will) there's a nice venue just across the well appointed courtyard where you can wait comfortably. You probably won't have room for dessert but they will have a little something sweet just in case. (Dessert is not their focus, ok? The main course is the star of this restaurant.) Easy to find in Hartford, Alabama home of the 25 mph speed limit. So you won't miss it by driving too fast for sure. Parking can be tricky but it's always free. Don't miss eating at Ketchem's. They do serve a fantastic lunch by the way but they really shine on the...
Read moreWe happened to be rolling through Hartford, Alabama and since it was close to lunchtime decided to give it a try. Wow! The ambience was perfect in this converted historical building. Our server, Meghan was attentive, quick and gave great suggestions. The food was perfect. I had the chicken tenders, a baked potato, turnip greens, hush puppies and pecan cobbler. Everything was perfect right down to the fact that they also served actual butter with the meal not buttery spread. The cooks obviously takes a lot of pride in the food they prepare. It's rare to have every element of a meal so good, usually something falls a little short but not here - perfection! We highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back when we are...
