J's Donuts — Restaurant in Haslet

Usually have a good experience here. This morning however wasn't one of those days. First thing I noticed when entering the parking lot was a pickup parked across two parking slips. When I walked inside the owner of the pickup was at the counter being waited on. Apparently he was a regular customer, employees called him by his first name...surprisingly it wasn't douchebag. Long story short, the entire staff was busy either helping him or making donuts that should've already been made. Once I realized I wasn't going to be helped until DB was satisfied, I left without breakfast. My advice is if you plan on getting donuts here just hope a "regular" customer isn't already there. Jay's doughnut's is not your run of the mill shop. The moment you walk in, you are greeted by two beautiful women. They remember your name and ask how your week has been. Erin wears a Bobba Fett apron everyday, super awesome. The food itself is delicious, I tend to stick with the jumbo pigs in blankets, but the assortment of delicious delicacies is quite tempting. There are plenty of beverages to choose from cold and hot. The shop is always very clean and well organized. Did I mention how beautiful the staff is? This place is always on point! The donuts are fresh, the price is right, there is always a great selection and every once in a while, you will see new designs and decorations on the donuts. However, a place is only as good as the customer service and let me tell you, this place delivers! Above and beyond. Every time I come in, I am greeted with a smiling face and warm conversation. I recently saw a 1 star review from a guy who said, "after speaking with the woman at the counter, I will no longer be going here." , you must a part of the cancel culture.
