So myself and my family were on a short vacation for the 4th of July weekend and stopped on our last night, 7/6. We just finished up a great meal at Mirro’s Cafe, which was delicious.
The kids wanted ice cream, so we found this small joint that looked like a Gem. The minute we walked in, there was a girl in a pink shirt with long black hair with her shirt hanging off of her shoulder. She looked to be the most unpleasant young woman we have come across in a while. As if our mere existence was bothering her. She hadn’t even said anything yet and we were definitely interfering with her night. She rushed us to order, and as she handed my youngest daughter her ice cream cone, it exploded in her hand as if she had a death grip on it while making it. It went all over my our daughter and all over the floor. We asked if they had a bathroom and she immediately replied no and was quickly corrected by the male behind the counter wearing a hat. He told us there actually was. The girl replied, “well watch out, it is full of cleaning supplies.”
She then put what our daughter had in her hands in a bowl. We then had to ask for napkins. Which the guy got for us. She then tried to hand us the bowl of strangled waffle cone and melted ice cream and proceeded to ask if she thinks she would eat it. In which we were dumbfounded.
I truly have never had such a bad experience at an ice cream place. We will never return, which is sad, because the ice cream was actually really good, and we visit the area...

Read moreMy family and I stopped this evening, and after waiting for about 20 minutes my daughter ordered a soft serve chocolate cone. The girl who took the order accidentally made it vanilla, but apologized and threw it away. The young man working reprimanded her for throwing it away and it should have gone in a dish. The girl was obviously sorry and the way he spoke to her was rude, especially in front of so many customers. Then, I ordered a soft serve twist in a cone with rainbow sprinkles. The young man brought me a twist with chocolate sprinkles. I asked him where the rainbow sprinkles were, and he then proceeded to tell me I said twist with chocolate sprinkles. He didn’t say, “I’m sorry, my mistake,” or “Let me fix that for you.” He told me what he thinks I said. He was very rude, and the girl who rang us out even apologized for the way he treated me. My husband says I should have told him to get me what I ordered, but I didn’t feel like arguing with a long line. After paying $30 for two small cones and two rather small sundaes for mediocre Hershey brand, I would at least like to be treated...
