What a disappointment, we went to Sully's on Friday and had a really good meal, so much so that we returned Saturday anxious to try a steak. We never got the opportunity. We arrived around 5 pm and were seated immediately as there were many open tables. We ordered our drinks and we were served them quickly. We placed our food order and then we waited, and waited, and waited. Four or five tables were seated after us. The waitress came over after about 20 minutes and said the kitchen was backed up, but our order would be out soon. The orders started coming out, but ours never materialized. The waitress came over multiple times saying our food would be out soon. Finally the manager came over and apologized and offered us a free dessert, or a discount. I told him we only wanted our order. He said it would be out in 5 minutes. We saw the manager bring out an order after more than 5 minutes and thought we would finally be served. Nope, it was for the group that had arrived 30 minutes after us. The manager again apologized, but we said we were done waiting and got up to leave. The manager said our food was going to be right out, but we had been there for over an hour, and people that had been seated after us had already left. We said no thanks, and I thought the manager said the 2 drinks were paid for. So we left and as we were driving through the parking lot, the manager came running out. We thought he was going to apologize and tell us our order is waiting, but no, he pulled out his phone and goes to take a picture of our license plate. I stopped and asked what was going on, and he said we were trying to skip out without paying for our drinks. I told him I thought he said they were paid for, but I guess I misunderstood. I gave him $4.00 for the drinks, and we left. The manager seemed really annoyed with us, though we were never rude or angry, just disappointed. It was really hard to understand as the day before everything was great. My only concern is why this happened. Why would they come over multiple times to tell us the food is going to be right out, then serve everyone who arrived after us? Is it because my partner is a Latina with a very strong accent? I don't know, but it's very concerning when you're blatantly treated poorly, and the manager then acts perturbed when you decide you've had enough. Sad to end our stay in Mississippi this way. BTW, the night before we were treated very well and left a tip over 20%. We did have a follow up conversation via email and the manager explained it was a mix up in communication. He also stated that it was no way based on my partner being an immigrant, which is acceptable as the night before we were treated well. Still disappointed that we spent an hour waiting for our order and never got to...
Read moreMy husband took me here for Mother’s Day and our waiter went out her way to straight up ruin my Mother’s Day. It didn’t help that we were the only AA family in the room… she made it her business to make us feel like we didn’t belong.
She was straight up awful! I sat and observed for a while to see if it was just her personality or if she was truly being rude to us… Unlike all the other tables that came in with us, we had to wait 30+ minutes to get our entrees because our order for our entrees weren’t taken until wayyyy after she took our order for drinks and appetizers. We had to wait and constantly were rudely avoided.
She never came to see if our appetizers were okay, if we needed refills on the drinks, grab empty and dirty plates, or asked jf we needed ANYTHING for that matter… I sat and watch her ask 2 tables 3 plus times for drink refills while my daughter (a kid) waited VERY patiently on one because she deliberately kept avoiding our table every time she passed by.
We waited 5+ minutes (while she brought out other tables drinks and took more order request) to get ranch my daughter requested before she went to prepare those drinks because she only brought us out egg rolls with no sauce to enjoy them with. She made it very clear that she did not want to be working with us.
After the server sat all of our food out and disclosed that they were just waiting on the fries to come out and asked if we need anything else…I politely replied with oh actually I had the seafood and crabmeat cream sauce for my steak that’s missing also and he replied with “I’ll have to get with your waiter and check on that for you” in which she came out being even more rude because SHE messed up our order. 😳
My daughter(s)silently cried for refills and tops to go on their condiment cups in which she can be seen on camera turning around blankly ignoring her. We watched her tell every mom “Happy Mother’s Day” Have a great day, etc on their way out the door… just to not even get a “thanks for coming” on our way out. 😭
We are usually very understanding people. We eat out at restaurants or get take outs a few times a week because we are both very busy and spend a lot of money on food while at work… We get it and we understand when restaurants and servers are busy and when we are downright just being treated unfairly.
Im not sure why a person who can’t treat everyone the same regardless of their skin color is allowed to work at an establishment like this but it says alot about this business.
I will avoid posting the video here because my family is in it but this is our waiter. Please let’s...
Read moreUpon entering, I stood just inside the doorway, in front of the hostess podium, for several minutes before being acknowledged. There were several young girls that came and went to and from that podium without ever acknowledging my standing there. Once I was acknowledged, the girls proceeded to discuss who was getting off at what time, different people at different tables, checking their cell phones.. sort of just being unprofessional about asking how many in my party (just me) or focusing on making sure I have a table to dine at. So.. that was my first experience, through the door.
I also waited at my table quite a while before my server came to visit. By the time he did arrive to take my drink order, I was already ready to order my meal along with the drink.
I ordered the USDA Prime 10oz Filet, along with the Gorgonzola & jumbo shrimp cream sauce topper, loaded baked potato and green beans. Once it arrived, the waiter asked if I needed anything else, such as extra butter for my potato. I did oblige and requested that extra butter for my potato. I wish he had also brought an extra side plate. There was a lot of food crammed on my single plate he set doen. Let me say.. my steak was EXCELLENT. The Filet was perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, perfect outer crust. It was DELICIOUS. That extra butter I was asked about and requested for my potato never arrived. Though, my waiter acknowledged he forgot it, twice, while walking by. He still never brought it. No big deal. I wasn't impressed with the canned green beans. They're nothing to write home about.. especially for what my meal cost me. Canned, watery green beans? Eh. I can't say enough good things about my steak, though. It was one of the best restaurant steaks I've had in recent memory. It was expensive, but delicious. The gorgonzola & jumbo shrimp cream sauce was a good pairing. It was rich, cheesy, and savory. It had 2 medium shrimp in it, but it was tasty. I also liked the au jus that came with the steak in a little plastic cup.
Overall, I feel... for the $100 I spent on my dinner, the experience should be better. Again, the steak I ate was excellent. But the rest of the experience didn't seem to match the price I paid for a...
