Wonderful local place with a great selection of their own local dishes, plus Hawaiian, Chinese, and American foods. This restaurant was highly recommended by Corey (driving the van shuttle between the interisland Maui-Lanai ferry wharf and Lanai City) and did not disappoint. We took the food to go for our ferry ride back, and got the Chow Fun (Cantonese/Chinese language denoting a southern China pan fried dish of wide, flat rice noodles), which came with perfectly fresh salad greens with choice of dressing. We also ordered the grilled Mahi with one scoop rice and mac salad (due to two massive pieces of fish, there wasn't room in the to go container for another scoop of rice!). With indoor and outdoor seating and a large flat screen TV, Blue Ginger becomes a great place to hang out and chow down,...

Of the 5 places we ate at while on Lanai for 4 days, the Blue Ginger was hands down our favorite for the best for food quality and value. It is apparent this is a locally owned and operated family restaurant. The portion sizes, quality, and price are what won this restaurant out for us. It was better than Nobu and Lanai City Bar and Grill. Lanai City and Nobu are much higher end with upscale atmospheres but that isn't the reason we went to Lanai. We enjoy immersing ourselves into the local culture as much as a tourist possibly can with a limited stay wherever we go. Their menu has everything to please anyone going there. They even have a bakery there with lots of fresh baked goods daily! If you like great quality food and don't mind not having a fancy atmosphere, this is the...

We went here for both dinner and breakfast during our stay. The food was great and service was fast and, for the most part, friendly. The only things that took away from the restaurant were: 1. The counter help during dinner that told me I make bad decisions because I'm sober and was with a group of drunk people. We were on vacation for the long weekend and they were drinking... I'm in recovery... for someone to call that a bad decision on my part is irresponsible. And 2. That they wouldn't make fried ice cream for breakfast. Yeah, I get it... they get busy and can't accommodate special orders for everyone, but having been in the industry for a (far too) long time, I know how it's made and it wouldn't have cramped anyone's style. Hey! I don't drink! I eat ice cream...

Discover The Blue Ginger, a cozy, family-friendly café in the heart of Lanai City. Enjoy the authentic local cuisine, freshly baked bread, and signature hamburgers made with their secret recipe! I had the crispiest fries, a bacon cheeseburger that was fresh, juicy, and full of flavor, and a cream cheese danish I’m still dreaming about😍😍😍 #bluegingercafe #lanaicity #homemade #supportlocal #supportsmallbusiness #supportlocalbusiness #luckywelivehi #grateful #blessed

If you are looking for an AMAZING breakfast spot, lunch spot or even dinner spot. This is the place for you. Whether you are feeling something local like mahimahi and a bowl of Saimin, to classic big breakfast, they have everything you could want here. The building is a quiet, homey location with very intimate sitting. If you've ever wanted to gaze into your partners eyes as you eat something tasty along the shoreline, this is your place. Buzzing with locals, this is the place to go if you want to make friends, have coffee or have a fantastic meal. Check out blue ginger now
