Tried this place for lunch for the first time prior to today 3.22.19. Ordered Pastrami sandwich online. When I went to pick up my order, there was a local man at the counter who was very pleasant. The sandwich was amazing and the young local man impressed me with his engagement with his customers. I decided to go back today for lunch and well, I was quit disappointed with the service.

This time it was a young Caucasian man who just gave this young lady her order and basically didn’t even acknowledge me and walked back and forth twice to the counter back to the kitchen and never once made eye contact and basically ignored me standing there. They may have been short staffed, I don’t know, In the weeds with orders (didn’t seem like it with the tickets present). So I decided to wait for a good three minutes waiting for some type of, “hey I see you, I’ll be right there”. Nope nada, so the gal in the kitchen who was working on a to go order went to hand the order to a customer and get this, did the same, no eye contact, no acknowledgment nothing. So me as a paying customer, who ordered online and payed for my meal that was sitting on top of the cooler had to get her attention. Asked her to pass me the Togo plate on the cooler and on top of that checked to see if they had added my potato salad and nope no salad.

Informed them a potato salad was with the order, she tells me we don’t have potato salad. My recommendation to whomever is in charge of your website to please update it if your 86’d on items. So they didn’t even offer to see if I wanted something else, and I basically told them I’m taking the chips at the door. I get my order and my chibatta bread is burnt, very disappointed in my order today. I would have given a 2 Star, but the young local man from my first encounter impressed me very much. I however, would not return to this establishment again. Too bad, I was about to tell majority of my local friends and visiting friends from mainland about this place, but they don’t deserve this type of...

The decor was very nice. It was kind of pricey for basic sandwiches and burgers. There wasn't anything really exotic there that stood out food wise. They were exceptionally slow getting out our order when it wasn't really busy. When I told them they were out of toilet paper while trying to take my young child to the bathroom on an urgent need they pointed me to the park across the street. I was told later by my wife who heard them talking when I left that it was because the employee didn't remember/ know I was a paying customer (and tipped as well even though we weren't actually served at the table) not more than 15 or 20 minutes ago and it was just us and two other groups in there. There wasn't high foot traffic. I realize the restrooms were not for non-customers and that's their policy but we were paying customers. I also found it quite absurd that had I not been a paying customer they would make no exception for a potential customer either. There were other restaurants not too far away and based on this experience and the mediocre food I'm sorry to say I don't think I would go back given the opportunity. I'm sure the staff is nice based on how they were treating other customers and regulars but my experience soured me...

Went there last night and was very disappointed. We live here and went there several years ago and the food was good and reasonable. Now, the prices were way too high. We bought 2 sandwiches, two drinks and a dessert and it costs $54.00. They only had water or Green Tea that was diet, nothing else without sugar. I got the Hawaiian Cheese steak sandwich that came on a 4"x4" bun and the piece of meat was about 2"x3". A lot of bread with little meat with a side of Potato salad for $16.99. The amount of potato salad was in the small 2" container you usually get a sauce in. The prices on the board above the cashier was less than they charged us. My wife bought the pineapple upside down dessert for $7.00 and was just the size of a cup cake. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Don't go, not...

King View Cafe is the perfect pitstop on your way to Pololu Valley Lookout. Whether you're starting or finishing your journey, make sure to come back to this delightful spot. We indulged in the delicious Chicken Teriyaki Burger and the Hula Chicken Melt, both of which were amazing. Don't miss out on their delightful ice creams as well. The option to dine in or take out adds to the convenience. Since Pololu Valley doesn't have restroom facilities, this cafe, just 10 minutes away, is an ideal place to stop, grab a bite, freshen up, and then continue your adventure.

Cute little cafe on the North point of the Big Island. Driving up you can see Maui's beauty resting on the horizon, on the sea. Sitting in the shade of the lanai, we enjoyed some beverages from Kona brewery. They went well with the Handmade seven inch pizza, and Hula Chicken melt. The girls enjoyed their Ceaser salads with shaved parmesan, paired with a Pina colada. Directly across from the cafe is the original statue of King Kamehameha I. Next to the cafe is a souvenir shop. They have a full array of beautiful merchandise. 😄👍
