This FREE center has an unbelievable location and view! Gorgeous, lush grounds which you can roam around on on your own or walk down the path to the lava tube. (My eenagers LOVED this.) You can hear and smell the coffee being dried/roasted from the time you park in their FREE parking lot. Or you can sit on the large lanai just enjoying the ocean view, the breeze, the experience and maybe a snack or treat. (Grandma & Grandpa loved it!) There's a room set up that's a mini-museum for the history of the company, facts/history about Kona coffee including a brief film, several pieces of antique farming/processing equipment and more. There's also free samples of all of their delicious Kona coffee - including their 100% Kona. There's a store full of gifts, souvenirs, treats and the best prices on their brands and coffee products. Full disclosure - this is my absolute favorite Kona coffee. I'll admit that I'm partial however, I am also VERY discerning and selective about my coffee. Truly great coffee is grown and made with care. It requires no baking soda hack. If you know, you know. If you consider yourself a coffee lover this is a must see and do. Mahalo to the friendly and...

Greenwell doesnt roast coffee.. they provide their processed beans to roasters and their coffee was delicious. I hate to say that Royal was just middle of the road coffee. They do have a coffee bar there where they make you different drinks you would might find at Starbucks. Not bad, but not good and not worth the premium price of Kona coffee. Would I come back? Probably because its a great view from a clean deck with a barista making you your favorite drink. It was a great experience in totality if you manage your expectations on coffee taste when compared to...
Read moreMore a tourist-oriented "souvenir" store than a museum or "coffee center." Probably not the best place for a coffee tour, to shop for coffee, or to shop for Hawaii souvenirs. BUT the location is convenient and parking is adequate, so you may find yourself stopping here.
If you shop for coffee, be CERTAIN you are buying 100% Kona Coffee -- that description exactly. NOT simply "Kona Coffee," NOT "Kona Blend," NOT "Hawaii Coffee." All are marketing gimmicks to confuse visitors that many merchants (not necessarily this one) use to sell ordinary coffee at premium prices. You will absolutely notice the difference between 100% Kona and anything else.
Tour buses stop here so the store can be...
