I took my mom there for breakfast after morning church and both ordered breakfast. She had an omelet and I had corned beef hash and eggs. My order was pretty good but it was a little bit salty (not uncommon it seems nowadays). She said he omelette with spinach and mushrooms was really good. The service was also VERY friendly and although they made one mistake they immediately took care of the issue and were very polite in doing so. The only thing that I would really like to mention because I really feel like there are only 2 items that would keep this place from taking off and becoming a neighborhood favorite with the almost certainty that getting a seat during normal meal time would be difficult is the cleanliness of the place... It really needs to be cleaned top to bottom and EVERYWHERE in between... It is definitely a family owned atmosphere and was very friendly but it truly feels like they haven't done much heavy cleaning in a long time... The food was very good so I think they are definitely following proper food prep protocol. The only other item is that it is a rather small location but I am starting to think that, that is what helps to create the family type atmosphere there and the fact that the wait staff is also very friendly also is a big contribution to that comfortable feeling... Good luck guys I really hope your location pays you back for all the hard work you put into it. Take the time to do some extra cleaning and I think you guys are going to reveal the diamond in the rough that you...
Read moreThe service is really friendly and good, but I am sorry to say my kids and I just did not like the food. The mushroom swiss burger was too sloppy. The veggie burger was dry, bland, and (according to my kid) “tasted burnt.” My other kid, who always eats all his hot dog barely finished half. The steak fries were...well, steak fries. Inferior to standard fries. No good at all without ketchup. My kids, when asked what they didn’t like about the fries, said, “the taste.” They preferred the bags of chips. The chocolate shake was way too sweet, and even though I asked for extra chocolate, I couldn’t really taste any chocolate.
I did like that they gave the kids water in paper cups with paper lids, and left it up to customers whether or not they took a plastic straw. I love it when restaurants embrace reducing single-use plastics. If they switch to paper straws, they will really be climate champions.
Now, the food wasn’t terrible or inedible. It was mostly just not to our tastes. If you enjoy a sloppy burger and steak fries and super sweet shakes, you might really enjoy this place. Again,...
Read moreThis place was a little hard to find. It has ample parking and seating. They also had outdoor seating as well. The place was simply decorated but feels like it's been here a little while. The vibe was pretty chill, and the people who worked here were nice.
I placed our order for to-go, items were:
Monster burrito - I didn't know this was the type of burrito you eat with a fork, but my husband loved it, so much I didn't even get to try it.
Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs - I was a little disappointed they didn't have biscuits. I wanted to have it with this. The chicken fried steak was super crispy along with the crispy hashbrowns and over medium eggs.. it was perfection..
Cornbeef hash with eggs and rice - delicious, nice, and crispy. I especially loved that you can have rice as a side Side order of sausage patty - delicious, especially when you dip it with gravy and put it on a slice of bread.
French toast - Amazing!! I didn't even need syrup, but it was good with syrup as well.
I can't wait to come back and try their...
