Read moreMy family and I tried this place out 2 times (Friday & Saturday). Friday was not busy during the day. We just tried a few different beers on tap and one burger. My wife enjoyed the burger she said.
Saturday, we went there around 730pm. It was busy with only a few places open to sit. We waited 1 hour 15 min for our food. At this point, I went to find the female running the food out from the kitchen. I told her we were waiting for that long and she told me that there was an 1.5 hour wait for food. I told her that no one advised us of this because we wouldn’t have ordered food and just maybe a beer or two. She went to the kitchen to check on our order. She came back and said our family’s food hasn’t even made it back on the grill. I told her we wanted a refund for all of our orders which they did give back.
I think the contributing factor to our issue was two things. A shortage of help in the kitchen and there were no waitresses. You order food and your drinks from a stand near the bar. So if there was a wait to order, you had to wait instead of having a waitress or bartender take it. The bartender had to interrupt the girl taking orders to cash out other customers. There needs to be two separate...
Read moreWow! What a find! We had been hiking at the Princess Arch and the Chimney Top Rock and on the ride back we saw a sign for Kentucky Beer. So glad we stopped in! Joshua is an amazing bartender. He is an aspiring musician with a heart of gold. Sweetly, he called out to us as we were leaving when he had a slew of people swarming the register at 9pm when they were supposed to be closing. He called out to give us a hug goodbye. What a sweet dear young man. I will be praying for his success. Austin did a fabulous job making our burgers that were from the beef of a local farmer. He even made mine gluten free. Incredibly delicious! The burger meat was amazing! So flavorful, not oily at all! Poor Austin was slaving away in the kitchen with no air conditioning! He came out sweating, but dedicated! What a beautiful beautiful building! Earthy and comforting! Even the bathroom sink was amazing; a beautiful bowl on top of a bourbon barrel! We had such a great time meeting a local couple who gave us great tips in the area. We became fast friends! My husband had two kinds of beer. I had the astounding cider! I don't normally like cider but this was divine. What a wonderful wonderful place! Thank you from the bottom...
