If you've just conquered a tough hike in the Red River Gorge or simply need a spot to refuel, Sky Bridge Station is your essential pit stop. Forget fancy dining—this is a straightforward, hiker-friendly sanctuary built on the holy trinity of casual grub: Cold beer, amazing hot dogs, and flavorful hamburgers.

Let's start with the most important part of the experience: the beer. Their selection of cold beer is exactly what you need after sweating on the trail. It's perfectly chilled, served quickly, and there is no better feeling than that first sip as you settle onto a stool. It's a simple pleasure, executed flawlessly.

As for the food, the menu keeps it simple, but the quality is huge: Hot Dogs. Seriously, these aren't your average ballpark franks. They are grilled, generously topped, and just utterly satisfying. Whether you go classic or load one up with their rotating specials, it's the ideal messy, delicious camp meal, elevated.

Hamburgers. The burgers are a standout. They're well-seasoned, juicy, and have that unmistakable, rich flavor that tells you they're done right. Paired with a side of crispy chips, it hits every craving you built up on the mountain.

Sky Bridge Station has a great, laid-back atmosphere that perfectly matches the surrounding area. It's a gathering spot for locals, climbers, and hikers alike. It’s unpretentious, welcoming, and focused purely on providing great fuel fast.

Overall, If your idea of a perfect meal involves fantastic homemade hamburgers, crave-worthy hot dogs, and a cold beer in hand, make this your first stop after hitting the trails. It's a casual gem that truly...

My family and I tried this place out 2 times (Friday & Saturday). Friday was not busy during the day. We just tried a few different beers on tap and one burger. My wife enjoyed the burger she said.

Saturday, we went there around 730pm. It was busy with only a few places open to sit. We waited 1 hour 15 min for our food. At this point, I went to find the female running the food out from the kitchen. I told her we were waiting for that long and she told me that there was an 1.5 hour wait for food. I told her that no one advised us of this because we wouldn’t have ordered food and just maybe a beer or two. She went to the kitchen to check on our order. She came back and said our family’s food hasn’t even made it back on the grill. I told her we wanted a refund for all of our orders which they did give back.

I think the contributing factor to our issue was two things. A shortage of help in the kitchen and there were no waitresses. You order food and your drinks from a stand near the bar. So if there was a wait to order, you had to wait instead of having a waitress or bartender take it. The bartender had to interrupt the girl taking orders to cash out other customers. There needs to be two separate...

Wow! What a find! We had been hiking at the Princess Arch and the Chimney Top Rock and on the ride back we saw a sign for Kentucky Beer. So glad we stopped in! Joshua is an amazing bartender. He is an aspiring musician with a heart of gold. Sweetly, he called out to us as we were leaving when he had a slew of people swarming the register at 9pm when they were supposed to be closing. He called out to give us a hug goodbye. What a sweet dear young man. I will be praying for his success. Austin did a fabulous job making our burgers that were from the beef of a local farmer. He even made mine gluten free. Incredibly delicious! The burger meat was amazing! So flavorful, not oily at all! Poor Austin was slaving away in the kitchen with no air conditioning! He came out sweating, but dedicated! What a beautiful beautiful building! Earthy and comforting! Even the bathroom sink was amazing; a beautiful bowl on top of a bourbon barrel! We had such a great time meeting a local couple who gave us great tips in the area. We became fast friends! My husband had two kinds of beer. I had the astounding cider! I don't normally like cider but this was divine. What a wonderful wonderful place! Thank you from the bottom...

A good place to grab a bite to eat. The place was very open layout and clean. Staff was very nice and water was at the table so we never had to bother anybody for refills! Very introvert friendly. They were also setting up for trivia night when we left, so that could be a fun option! A great selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non! It was a great place to just sit and enjoy your company for sure. There were only 2 small issues. My partners nachos (while delicious in my opinion) had a large scorch mark on them that made it look as though the cheese had been microwaved. I enjoyed them nevertheless, but he was not pleased with the taste. I cannot verify for sure if it had been microwaved or not, but he is a very big "visual eater", so it threw him off. My issue may have had to do with the location we sat. We sat close to the restrooms which was level with the kitchen entrance. This put us in the perfect position to hear both the kitchen staff's music and the dining room's music at the same volume. Not a fun experience to have two completely different songs in your ears at high volume, but we moved outside and it was fine. I definitely recommend this place and their delicious hotdogs! A must-stop spot.

Excited to find a hidden gem just outside of the Red River Gorge camping and hiking areas. We stopped in for a meal after a day of exploring. They have craft beers and unique hot dogs and quesadillas as well as other sides. I'll have to give them another try when I go back to the gorge. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was canned chicken instead of grilled or other fresh cooked chicken options. In their defense they're new and getting all these details worked out and chicken had just been added to the menu. They assured me they were getting this remedied and once they do 5 stars are theirs! It's eclectic, and youngish. A small band was setting up as we were leaving and I could tell this is a favorite local spot as people just kept coming in. Would definitely go there again! They also had the best industrial light fixtures! My brother in law was visiting from England... pics added.
