Buon Appetito Ristorante — Restaurant in Heidelberg Township

We came for mothers day lunch with reservations for 12 people. We order drinks from the bar which took over 20 mins to come to the table. The waitress never brought us menus and after 30 mins we asked the person filling waters for some. 3 people ordered fettuccini and 2 people ordered the seafood lasagna, and the rest ordered various items. I also ordered seafood soup. Our food took over and hour to come to our table. Including the forgetting our menus and waiting for drinks we had been there for over 1.5 hours when are food came. I also ordered seafood soup which was good. The fettuccine arrived and was like a soup for all 3 people and only tasted like cream. No garlic and very little cheese. We said something to the waitress and she agreed that is looked disgusting and took them. She offered to get us something else but we could not wait another hour for food. The 2 people that ordered the seafood lasagna also said that itwas really bad and did not eat it. We also spent large stretches of time with empty drinks while waiting for our waitress who was missing for large chunks of time. My niece also found a chunk of broken glass on the floor. The waitress removed the 5 meals that were sent back from our bill and removed another 10%. This was a disater of a mothers day meal and i asked to speak the manager or the chef multiple times but everyone told me he was busy and could not come out of the kitchen. None of the other staff seemed to have any manager power or would discuss the situation any further. We came to this restaurant because my mother had had good food in the past but this was the last time we will be coming here.

Other members of my party have left reviews from this same situation and have been called liars by the owner. The owner who is also the manager and chef could not know details about the sitation since he was the person that would not come out and speak to us the day that it happened. Any other resturant would have sent the manager out before it was asked for to investigate why so much food was sent back, but here we were unable to even explain the situation so that one person knew everything...

We visited on Mothers Day. Made a reservation weeks in advance for noon. We were seated quite quickly but with no menus,water or bread. Although it was mothers day the resturant was still not full but it took over an hour and a half to get our food. For a 12 person party 6 meals were returned, my 3 year old was playing in the small area around our table and picked up a CHUNK of GLASS. The manager refused to come out and speak to us about our situation and thought that a 10% discount off our bill was more then enough to right the situation. Honestly we will never ever be back to this establishment and will be informing everyone we can of our horrendous experiance here. Edited* to respond to owners response. You are now being reported to the better business bureau. Our reservation was for 12pm 6 people in our party arrived around 1150, 2 others arrived by 12 and the final 2 were there bu 1215 and we have text to prove timing. There were dessert/drink menus yes but we DID NOT recieve our regular MENUS for at least 20 minutes after being seated. And my " Free dessert" was a free cannoli they gave to EVERY MOTHER in the restaurant. So nice try there... I never once complained about our waitress she was overwhelmed and dealing with situations the best she could. The food WAS NOT FRESH AT ALL!! My children's food was brought out 30 minutes after we ordered before anyone recieved their salads and it took another 10 minutes for my girls to get their fries. My "seafood lasagna" obviously sat under a heat lamp or was over cooked it was dry and tasted of nothing but green peppers. The "Alfredo" was quite obviously OVER THINNED with milk or heavy cream because that's all that it was.. Milk and noodles.My husband never recieved a drink refill And please do not get me started on how in your response you again glossed over the fact that my child found a big chunk of glass under our table and could have been seriously injured. Your establishment is a joke and you should all be ashamed by etiquette and customer service. Please also note that the resturant was not filled at all. We could see SEVERAL EMPTY tables...

This was our second time at this establishment, both times service has been shotty. On this occassion, we had a reservation at 12pm and I can honestly say I didnt know who our waiter/waitress was for 45 minutes. At around the 30 minute mark an older gentleman brought us food menus that had been entirely forgotten by the staff. A drink ordered from the bar took upwards of 20 minutes to receive, we were informed that the hostess was also the bartender. We had to ask about the specials, and if you think 20+ minutes waiting for a drink is too much.....dear lord dont expect a refill. That took over an hour.

My husband ordered fettucine alfredo and it was literally noodles in cream. The sauce had the consistency of water and no other taste other then that of cream. To their credit, they took it off the bill. However, it took over an hour and a half to get noodles in cream. I ordered a vodka penne that was decent, thankfully since it ended up being split between 3 adults. 50% of the food our party ordered was inedible. We received free canolis from a now apologetic waitress, and 10% off our bill. We were there for a little over 2.5 hours.

All of this was followed by the manager declining to speak to any member of our party. He is apparently the cook as well and "couldn't step away." My niece found a piece of sharp glass on the floor and 50% of the food we ordered got sent back. That warrants speaking to manager (without prompting) in all of the restaurants Ive ever worked. We didnt see this elusive man once, even when requested. Poor service is an understatement.

FYI: The owner has now tried to call my family's experience a completely false statement. All I can say is wow. I wish we would have walked out when the first 45 minutes had passed and left this poor excuse of a business. They didnt deserve a dime...
