This was our first dinner at Curious Goods. We were extremely impressed with both the food and service. As a vegetarian, 99% of the time when I am at a restaurant, I feel totally unappreciated/ripped off when it comes to portion sizes of main dishes, let alone the quality/creativity of vegetarian main dishes. Thankfully, Curious Goods offered not only creative options but also very generous/thoughtful portions. (Most restaurants do not understand that vegetarians need hearty portions since we don't get our calories from meat or seafood.) The vegetarian risotto I ordered was scrumptious and featured very fresh, not overcooked vegetables. Both the asparagus bisque and mushroom bisque were exceptional. Also, we were incredibly impressed with the young men who were so attentive with refilling water as well as removing dishes that were finished being used. The level of service that these young people provided is unheard of nowadays. We plan on being regulars at Curious Goods and thank all the restaurant personnel for providing both a culinary and service experience which are of a very high standard and so rare today. And thank you for your thoughtfulness in terms of...

A shout out to the serving staff: Jenny, Dee and Kai hustling about the dining room with timely and on pointe service
My first course: smoked duck breast over potato pancakes was only underwhelming dish due to charred bits of duck and the potato pancakes were over cooked!
My second course: 3 meat Wellington in tender crust accompanied by sautéed quartered potatoes, red bell peppers and onions all fresh and tasty.
My third course of rich chocolate mousse topped with fresh berries and whipped crème. Definitely decadent.
My wife ordered the Tempura mini lobster tails as first course and she loved every fried bite!! She relinquished her second course to me due to the filet was not cooked medium to her order. The Benedict: well done filet (ordered medium) with fresh crab doused in hollandaise sauce was immediately traded for my Wellington as I love my meat well done. The filet was barely warm indicating initially cooked to a lower temp then re-cooked according to diners’ preference. Her third course of gingerbread tres leche was good.
It was a relaxing atmosphere and...

Original Post: My husband and I recently moved back to the area and were super excited to see Curious Goods close by. A gem right down the road. Farm to table deserving of viral acolades. Surrounded by farms, grazing cows, and fields of corn, a person can see and smell that they're destined to support several local businesses with one meal. Curious Goods serves guests in an old farmhouse, with a country garden and fish pond out front. Our favorite dish is Beaf Steak Tomatoes stuffed with warm, creamy goat cheese, lightly fried crowning the jucy berries with a crisp crust on a bed of arugula. Please dance a wedge through fragrant basil infused olive oil before taking your bite. This appetizer defined our first experience, but our entrees were delicious as well. We will return. *A full bar is available with an extensive beer selection, varried wine list, and...
