The Feed Store Cafe BREAKFAST — Restaurant in Hemphill

Well we decided to try out this place for the first time. After walking in the hostess tells us to take a seat at any table. None were open. My wife asks if we could sit in the other room. She walks away and didn't answer us. Finally a customer says the other room was open to sit down. We proceed to sit down and wait for our waitress. After about 15 mins with no one coming to our table I stop and ask the waitress if she was going to bring us a menu and get us something to drink. She answers she would be right back. A couple mins later she is talking with her friends and then proceeded to bust a table while we was waiting on menus and to get something to drink. Finally after a couple more mins go by we just decide to get up and leave cause it's apparent that she wasn't coming back nor was we going to be helped anytime soon...definitely won't be coming back or referring anyone to this place. They wasn't even busy and there is no excuse for the way the service was at this...

I have to admit that the decor of this place is really cute and as other review suggested the atmosphere is really nice. So this attracts me to this place because there's not a lot like this in our area. The menu is attractive and has a lot of variety as well. The homemade chips that came to the table were pretty good. However every single person that ordered at our table had their food come out incorrectly. The waitress did not offer to change it and she actually implied that it was our fault that it came out that way - as if we didn't order clearly enough. When I asked her a question about one of the menu items she answered that she didn't know. When I pressed her about the matter because of a food allergy she got very flustered and dare I say angry and practically yelled in my face. Service VERY BAD! We’re the only table in the place for breakfast when our order was turned in! Three other tables came in after and two of them received their orders ahead of us. I inquired as to what the issue was and was told that the fan blew the tickets when the cook took them off the hooks and she did not which one was first - poor excuse because ours should have been being fixed before the other tickets were placed there! Were told it was being played and it would be right out - after another five minutes a waitress (not ours) came and said one was being recooked because of an error of the cook but the omelet was flipped and it would be right out (AGAIN). After another five minutes we just left after paying $2.00 for a soda! Will not go back!! Have been there and saw this happen to other patrons so apparently they don’t care to learn from their mistakes and correct them If I were you I would read all reviews before...
