Slice 19 — Restaurant in Henderson

I didn't want to officially downgrade Slice 19 with a 2 star rating as I know they generally provide good food at good prices and they deliver widely...yay! So few food choices for us near Lake Las Vegas. However, my pizza was burnt, didn't discover it until I got home (arghhh!). This happened to someone else I know that went there, but she caught it and had them recook it. There is a review herein about something burnt as well. Too much cheese on the pizza too (but you can't criticize that in most people's view). It had good flavor as I cut away burnt bread and excess cheese, so I'll definitely give it another go, especially trying other food options. I know Slice 19 gets good reviews generally and it is so convenient, so want to find my dish there if not the pizza! Someone said butter is put on the dough which is a "no" for me too. My only other comment as a new customer would be that I did take out and it was confusing how to get the food. For covid safety, I got used to very quick pick ups when restaurants didn't provide curbside (and still prefer that on a number of levels), grab quick and go. You have to go all the way through the restaurant to the back to pick up the food which took me a while to figure out and it takes then a minute or two to find help, them to produce the receipt and then you need to sign it in a tight area. Suggest crafting a more grab and go type process by the door if curbside is not going to be offered (I'd pay extra for curbside). Very easy to access through the neighborhood gate which...

Had a experience the other day where a guest sitting next to me at the bar put in a 20 on blackjack lost it all in seconds put in more money kept playing quickly and tried to order a free drink after gambling triple a drinks value. The guest was berated by staff for gambling too quickly or not gambling enough. They did this right in front of me out loud in a nasty way. This guest said he was between holes and didn’t have time to play slow and also mentioned he always tips nice and I saw him gamble plenty to get a drink. This ruined my experience and I felt super bad for the golfer and it made the rest of my afternoon very awkward I finished my drink quickly so I could leave. The service was also slow for how few people were there but the emphasis of this review is how that poor guest who was clearly a regular was treated without pulling him aside to do it privately or without checking to see how much money he had actually played. This is not standard comping behavior for a Vegas bar this was a very hostile action towards a guest following Vegas norms… Will not be back here for awhile. My girlfriend and I decided to try this place out because it had excellent reviews. Besides the outside seating this place was a big let down. Not only did the server not apologize for taking over 25min (Clocked) to take our order but the food was another 30. The place wasn't even that busy and we only ordered a small pie and a calzone. We were so frustrated we just asked for to go boxes and left. When we got home to try the food we were really disappointed. They boast about being NY pizza but the $1 slices on the corner in NYC blew this quality out of the water. The calzone was even worse with barely any flavor. So over an our wait for a small pie/calzone that was subpar for the high price. They should not reference anything to do with NY because its false advertising.
