I guess it's official I'm a glutton for punishment. Placed an online order, in an effort to increase the possibility of receiving my order correctly. Not only was the food I ordered incorrect, the sauces I had chosen were mere suggestion, instead of an actual choice. Also optional items would include: napkins, straws, the correct flavor of beverage...
Update: Decided to give the place a try again. Not only was my order completed incorrectly, but the drive through line wrapped all the way around the building so I was unable to actually exit the line after receiving my order. What a nightmare.
Maybe tonight was a fluke... I was in the drive through line for over an HOUR! I FINALLY make to the window and the lady was like... "What was your order again?" I can not believe it! She didn't even send my order to the kitchen when I ordered it at the speaker. "I'm really sorry but I forgot to put your order in...?... Um could you pull up and we'll get it to you ASAP!" At this point I'm hopeful, she really sounded sorry for the mistake. So I pull forward. Another 25 minutes go by and the only thing I can think of is the quote, "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me." Was the food hot or fresh or well prepared? NO! Read moreABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE AND COVID SAFETY VIOLATION! Every single time we have tried to go through the drive-through we have had to pull over and wait 15-20 minutes for our food. While waiting tonight they brought us another person's food, handed it to us. We told them it was NOT ours, then they turned around and handed into the care beside us AFTER we had it in our car. Uhmmm...health code violation and COVID safety violation. We would have asked for a refund, but we didn't even have a receipt since they didn't provide one when we paid at the window. When they FINALLY did bring OUR food out, it was completely cold! Obviously, it had been sitting in there and just had not been brought out. The fries tasted like old, cold French fry grease, so those got tossed. The hamburgers were literally not a single but warm. I wish we had just driven away without the food and without a refund. Read moreMy wife and I go to Hardee’s in Hertford, NC as often as we can. We like Hardee’s food and it’s the closest one to us. It’s not unusual for the service to be slow. But today was the worst experience we have ever had. I used my Hardee’s app to order an original bag for my wife and one for myself. I paid $15.99 and waited 40 minutes for our order. Drive thru wasn’t having problems getting there food. People were coming in and ordering food at the counter and getting theirs in a timely manner. Meanwhile I spoke to the workers and the manager and all I got was I’m sorry they are working on it. I asked for my money back but they couldn’t do it because I ordered on the app. So I made a complaint through the app and was told that someone would reach out to me with in 3 days. God know how long after that to get my money back. I hate to be this kind of person and let one bad experience determine the outcome, but we won’t be going back there...
