No stars. I remember Carl's Jr. as being one of the better fast food restaurants, with big juicy burgers and waffle fries that had a golden goodness that made your mouth water. This location left me with a bad attitude and a worst taste in my mouth. There are signs and QR codes all over the place advertising the mobile app. Of course I do mobile ordering, I like to customize my burger and see all my options. App orders are not supported at this location, which is fine, but they couldn't figure out how to ring up the "late night build your own bag" deal with waffle fries. Maybe an app exclusive? Fine. I just wanted the burger (it had grilled onions and I wanted that particular burger) with extra pickles and waffle fries. I got frustrated and just said "big carl combo, extra pickles with waffle fries." The cashier still couldn't find the waffle fry button, two other workers came to help telling me no mobile orders while I stood at the cash register with my own face finally we were able to proceed my husband ordered his food. Then the cashier forgot our drink cups, which I had to ask for twice. We waited 20 minutes for our food to come out sitting right there staring at them watching them walk out with burgers taking them I don't know where, because mobile orders aren't allowed at that location. So where were they taking all the food?! There was only like two people in the Drive-Thru in the whole 20 minutes that we were there. I saw one person working in the back and the cashier that helped us, he was pleasant. When they brought our food out there was no extra pickles on the burger. I had to gain someone's attention to explain that I asked several times across both burgers, that we couldn't order, extra pickles. I had to get a cup full of extra pickles and add them myself. The waffle fries were overdone, orange, and crusty. My husband's sandwich was soggy from the length of time it sat under the warmer. I know this is a wordy review but it was horrible absolutely horrible. And it took forever, if you're going to make me wait forever at least give me good food. oh and it didn't come with grilled onions. I said are your tomatoes any good and he looked at me confused and I said just put the tomato on it if it gross I'll pick it off myself. No extra pickles, unable to get grilled onions, and not tomato. I don't know what's wrong with this location something needs to be fixed. Also, their ice machine was broken. I can't believe I paid for this waste of time and that ordering the food was such a huge problem for the people "working"...
Read moreI could give a one star, but I really dislike complaining and grumbling especially about food since I've been in third world countries where they don't have much, but people should know this situation as well as management. Working my second 14-hour day in a row and stop in for the only decent meal of the day I will get and Order double burger, large fry, drink combo no cheese on the burger. They bring the order and I ask for ketchup, she says we are out. Well, my first thought is that should have been posted before I spent 12 bucks on a burger and fries. I sit down to eat and the burger has cheese on it. Not the end of the world, but I bring it back up she takes it to the back and I think they just peeled off the cheese and brought the same Burger back, because it wasn't melted the first time I looked and when I sit down to eat it it's not a hot burger at all. Barely warm. It's not about myself, it's just about the poor management decision and performance. Mistakes happen, that's fine, but If you're out of ketchup in a burger shop with fries you would run to the store and buy as many big bottles as you could find and not blame it on "they are out at the warehouse". Second of all, you would have a sign or verbally tell people before they order that we have no ketchup. Third, they had ketchup in the back because they put it on the burger. It seemed a bit deceitful to be selling the food and then telling the customers there's no ketchup. I went next door to the Love's to buy a bottle, but didn't see any on shelves there because they are under construction and it's all tore up and half the stuff's not there. Restrooms are portable outside for now. This was August 14th of 23, so if you're traveling you may want to avoid this place because of the construction and maybe they are still out of ketchup🤷♂️🤷♂️👊. I just write this to help them up their game a bit and to let others know you may not want to stop there...
Read moreCarl's Jr. at the Loves Truck Stop was more than disappointing. Travel, just got my daughter to sleep, so thought going through the drive thru would be perfect...after handing me the drinks, the gal said please drive around front and I will bring your order out. Ok, as I sat there and watched customer after customer go in the front door and back out again with their food, just as I was getting out of the car here she came. Good, now looking through the bag, no fries...I leave my kid locked in the car alone to go in and wait. Now I think I'm good, get in the car, wake the kid to eat, then just as I pull out, my daughter let's me know there is cheese on her burger even though I specified plain with ketchup only. Back in. They made a new one, then finally back on the road. I dont normally complain when an order get messed up a little, but if I'm going through the drive thru, there is probably a reason I dont want to come into the establishment otherwise, I would have gone in in the first place (35 minutes before I could leave). When things are busy and you are in a rush, please at least read what people order and make it. Please don't ask people to pull around to wait for food so your drive thru time will be better - it isn't and it loses you customers. Lastly, Manager, when you say sorry to a customer, we can still hear you when you turn and say, "Whatever!" Training, Courtesy, Efficiency...get some extra training please. Help...
