After a 20 minute drive from my house I arrived at Pollo Tropical at 9:52. I enter the drive through lane and as I'm waiting for my turn to order, an employee places a chair in front of my car, blocking me, and walks away. I thought "maybe they are closed". But if they close at 10 why block me at 9:52?? I check online and I see they close at 11pm. I call Pollo Tropical and the recording says they close at midnight... so i parked my car and walked inside. There were several people standing there either waiting to order, or waiting to pick up: no way to differentiate between the two. The place was filthy with food, plastic silverware, cups, paper plates, dirty paper napkins all over the floor, and towers of chairs dangerously stacked upside down on top of the tables, but no one was there cleaning anything. I see the employee that blocked my car with the chair standing there and I asked him who's decision it was to change Pollo Tropical's hours of operation and closing procedures. He offered an apology and told me he had been told to block the drive through lane, but couldn't really tell me what was the reason for this. So I asked for a to-go menu so that my girlfriend could pick something out, she was in my car, in her pajamas (reason why we needed to use the drive through). He went through an "employees only" door and after several minutes he comes out and tells me they have no more menus to give out. Apologizes again, and explains to me that the menus are always available online.

No one was responding through the speakers and there was a long line behind me already. An employee came outside to take orders and started from almost the end of the line towards the back and did not ask me if I had placed my order. I pulled up to the window and when I explained to the girl that was working there, instead of apologizing she told me that I needed to go back in line. I immediately told her that I wasn't going to get back in line because I had been waiting and no one was taking my order. She was very rude and was speaking to me with an attitude, not apologetic at all. She called a young man who came to the window and after explaining what happened, he took my order and told me to pull out from the Drive-though that my food was going to be brought out to me. 20 Mins later someone brought me the food, which I only checked to see if everything was inside, but no dressing for the salad or the other sauces I requested. After arriving at my office, almost 45 mins later, I opened my bag and realized they gave me the wrong dressing, the salad was so cold almost frozen that I couldn't eat it, the chicken was burned, and the balsamic tomatoes were rotten and had a really bad taste. She left the window to call a manager to translate for her. We ordered two empanadas and the young lady stated they were out but gave us large fries as a substitute. There were no sweet plantains so I ordered corn. We received our food and asked for sauce but they stated they were out of all sauce except barbecue. I told her no thank you and told her she forgot my corn and she rolled her eyes like I was annoying her. Got home ate what was supposed to be great food and the rice was dry ,beans good chicken good not one drop was used while making this meal which is why I'm giving them a 1 star even if the service is terrible I can take it because it's Miami .
