Morning Sun Market & Cafe — Restaurant in Higginson

4 of us came on Sat evening for fish dinners. The restaurant was less than half full, so not too busy. A young girl took our orders for food and drink. She returned to our table 3 times to ask "did you want the large or small plate", "what sides did you want" & again..."just to make sure, you wanted ?". When orders arrived, they were all wrong. They took them back and redid them two or three times before finally getting 3 of the 4 orders right, but my husband's order was not ready...10 to 15 minutes later, his order of fish finally arrived, but they failed to bring any of the sides he ordered. All-in-all.....the food was decent, but the service was the worst I've ever had. To the owner/manager's credit, she did ask about our experience and after listening, she told us our food was free. If they get better trained staff, I might go back, but not unless...

These two ladies make my morning with their tiny biscuits (I eat a few more than I should) and their quick wit! Life can have highs and lows, but the Dollar Store is always consistent! We stopped for lunch around 1:30 on Saturday. I love what they are doing here. We had catfish and it was good. Hush puppies, slaw, fries, all good. The beans were ok, but not seasoned at all.
