I'd rate -5 stars if I could!
We went to Higginsville Veterans Cemetery for Wreaths Across America, where we volunteer to place wreaths at every veterans' grave site. My father is also buried there, so it makes it more special.
We've never been to Generations Cafe, but we thought we'd try it after the event. When we walked in, it was packed, and there was no sign or person to greet you or tell you what to do. The waitress walked by and looked at us numerous times and said absolutely nothing to us.
After standing there for about 15 min, 2 ladies came in after us, walked to the back, and sat at a table. We heard the waitress tell them they couldn't sit there and eat but could wait. After about 10 more minutes, a group of 4 at a table got up and left.
Thinking we would be seated after they cleared and cleaned the table, we patiently waited. Before the table was even cleaned off, those same two ladies got up and stood by that dirty table. The waitress came and cleared the table and allowed them to sit down and take the table. I was like, what the hell?! They were by themselves, and no one was there to hold a spot in front of us, they simply came in and basically cut in front of not just my group of 4, but another couple as well.
So no, I would not recommend this place what so ever because they seem to not care for outsiders or a guy with long hair and tattoos who is a 12 year veteran himself that just got done laying about 50 wreaths on veterans...
Read moreVery beautiful restaurant! Really loved the design, but the food was really lacking! I was so excited to eat there because alot of people enjoy it! My girlfriend got chicken fingers and they were so rubbery we couldn't eat it, also the breading was coming of the chicken so all we got was rubbery chicken . The fries are good but I believe they were the frozen kind. The burger I had was okay. It was bland and they didn't even ask me how I like it cooked...waitress was really nice and kind but the food was not up to par. So this might be just a breakfast place because that's what I heard from ppl in town that they are good...
Read moreThe biscuits are not cooked through, they are half cooked and half dough. Me andhubby asked if wee could give them back because of the tast of dough. The waitress wanted to argue about the doughy biscuits. We asked if we could just get an order of pancakes, knowing breakfast was almost over. Waitress took plates walking away speaking loudly, well I don't know if we can do that, breakfast is almost over. I said okay just...
