Honestly another place where we were left thinking “what is the hype with this place too that everyone loves around here?” My husband walked in and asked how long the wait is. He was told about 30-40 minutes. (Obviously because there are only about 7 tables that are right on top of each other and they don’t even use half the tables outside.) We thought ok it’s always going to be that long because as it gets later the wait will be even longer. So we decided to go for it and come back when we were called. Not even 20 minutes later we got a phone call saying there is a table for 4 that opened up. Would we like that one and just squeeze our 5 people in and a high chair for our baby or just wait for a bigger table? We decided to try and squeeze in. So we drove back and went inside. My confusion began when we got inside and there was no table for 4 that even opened up for us like we were told. Why would we be told that if we only had to continue waiting? Also to be told if we want a high chair we have to wait EVEN LONGER until one opens up, as if they do not have enough.
Finally getting to the table and sitting down was a nightmare because, well, how can my husband and children fit around the other side when all the tables are literally touching? What was more disappointing is that my husband thought the Cinnabon flavored pancake of the month that is highly talked about was not that great at all and didn’t even taste like a cinnabon. There are tons of other places we could have gone to that have amazing food of the month.
The most disturbing thing of all is that the kitchen and cooking area is right in the dining room on top of the tables, so everything the employees do can be seen and put on blast. I was too busy tending to my 4 kids at the table, so I didn’t see things going on but had I read some of these disgusting previous reviews of what customers saw employees doing and then handling food with no gloves, I wouldn’t have even considered it. Just like other customers have said, we were dumbfounded this place is passing inspection. It looks like it is falling apart. The owner is also choosing to avoid commenting on all these posts except for one that was disappointed about getting a smaller cone with their ice cream than they should have. That to me speaks volumes. Never again will...
Read moreI’ve been coming here for ice cream for almost 35 years. However, recently started coming for breakfast here and there over the last couple years. This place used to have good pancakes, but the guy usually overcooks them now. They’re all dried out. The service is terrible, they’re rude and super slow. Give you attitude if you want a drink after waiting 15 minutes. I knew they were unsanitary (noticed The few times I’ve come in and sat at bar) like not washing hands, no gloves, cutting bread right on the counter, grabbing raw bacon and then touching other non-raw food like cheese and bread…also, they ALWAYS wipe their hands on their clothing (especially cook/owner). They’ll handle cash and dirty dishes, then go and prepare your food. I’ve watched the server pick up/wipe up food from floor with her bare hands and go straight to pulling toast from toaster and buttering it and serving tables. No washing hands EVER!
However, this morning takes the cake. The cook grabbed a paper towel, wiped the sweat off of his forehead and his nose and then kept the towel in his hand while he grabbed the spatulas over the grill and started moving food around. Then he took another paper towel and, while standing over the bacon that was cooking on the grill, BLEW HIS NOSE and wiped his nose. He then threw the towel in the garbage and immediately grabbed four pieces of ham and put them on the grill. Then I watched him go touch the cheese, he picked up blueberries and spread them all over a pancake, and just went along with cooking like nothing happened. That is the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen. I wanted so badly to say something but I was embarrassed as my parents were with me visiting from out of state and I talked up how the food was pretty good. I was sitting at the counter, which I’ve done before and seen some stuff that I felt was kind of gross but got over it. I absolutely cannot get over this one. This place should be shut down. You people are disgusting and have no business serving anybody food. Learn to...
Read moreThe food is absolutely incredible! I would classify this as some of the best breakfast food that I have ever had and I would give it probably 7600 Stars....if possible. However breakfast food is something that needs to be eaten immediately in my opinion. Let me just say that there is zero comfortable places to eat this absolutely off the chart delicious food. It's really a sad situation for me... Because I have to travel to get there so even if I was going to take out it's not workable for me. If you go as a couple you get the tiniest little table so the breakfast that you order will not fit on your table because the portions are so gigantic that they have to serve most meals on two plates. Sitting outside it's kind of nice but again the table situation....nightmare. and then there is the counter which seems like a reasonable option however they are using part of the counter as a workspace. In addition to that watching them prep this absolute deliciousness is not ideal. Take it from someone who's in the food industry....watching this pure CULINARY MASTERY happen ain't pretty. So I really want to give this place 500,000 Stars.....for DELUCIOUSNESS & portion size....but...it's really uncomfy so within the star allotment that I have been given it is not perfect and I gave it a ding for my discomfort. THAT SAID ....GO HERE!...
