Response to owner: It's okay, I don't need to speak with you because the charge cleared properly from my bank account. I heard talk of retirement when I was there and I believe it was for the server who waited on us, so I guess she was hoping to go out with a bang. As for trying to charge $9.95 for a "cheesesteak hoagie" (i.e., steak um served on a HOT DOG bun), that's on YOU. It was laughable. Best wishes, we won't be back.

P. S. Update your menu to accurately reflect the prices you're charging and the product customers will receive.

TLDR: they charged a higher price than what's on the menu and the server tried to add an unauthorized gratuity and sign the bill on my behalf.

My daughter and I stopped there for lunch based on the high Google rating. I ordered the cheesesteak hoagie and my daughter ordered a tossed salad. When my "cheesesteak" arrived, I was disappointed to find it was a very small amount of steak-um style meat served on a split-top HOT DOG bun. I asked the server if what I received was actually the "hoagie" and she said yes, it's a six inch hoagie. It may have been six inches, but it was NOT a hoagie. I was hungry though so I went ahead and ate it.

After receiving the bill, I noticed the price for the sandwhich was higher than the menu price. I went up to the counter and asked to see a menu to confirm, and yes, I was charged $2 more than what was on the menu. I pointed this out to the server and all she said was "ok" and printed out a new bill with $2 discount and I went back to the table. I wasn't sure of the payment process since the server didn't say she would take it when we were ready, so I went back up to the counter to pay. The server went by me twice without saying anything, so I returned to the table. She eventually came to the table with her handheld ordering device, which was also used for the payment. I gave her my card, and she didn't say anything, just started tapping things. I said "aren't you going to give me a receipt to sign? I saw you tap the 18% gratuity." She had also had drawn a squiggly line in the signature box.

She stammered and went behind the counter to talk to another person. I decided to go up and see what was happening since she still had my card. The server was telling the other person that I didn't want to add a gratuity and I interjected and said "no, you just added the 18% gratuity without my authorization." Neither of them acknowledged my presence and I continued to stand there. When they were finished, the server gave me a paid receipt and said something like "see, no gratuity," without offering an apology or acknowledgement of wrongdoing. Mind you, I wasn't planning NOT to tip, but the amount should have been MY decision, NOT the servers.

The higher amount charged is still pending in my bank account and the amount on the paid receipt hasn't posted yet, so we'll see how this plays out and if I need to take further action. I know places like this count on people not looking at their bills closely or asking for receipts, but PLEASE, do yourselves and others a favor and hold places like this accountable, especially since there were many elderly folks dining there and they are so often the victims of...

Rural southern diner feel within 10 minutes of the city. Good breakfast food, big portions and friendly staff. Pricing was right on the money.

If you’re coming to have your belly filled with sausage and eggs for around $10 this is your place. I recommend their famous ‘pipeliner’ a delicious mess of sausage, egg, and potatoes covered in gravy. Their pancakes are super good as well. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they grind their own coffee on site.

Staff operate like a well oiled machine partly out of necessity as the place was packed to the rafters when we went on Saturday morning. In spite of this we were served very quickly.

They do not take card, this is a cash only establishment. ATM is available on site but this is definitely something any customer should be aware of if they plan to eat here. I hope they’ll put a clear sign on the door sometime, that could be seriously irritating to...

We were on our way to the airport and find this place to grab a bite for lunch…and it was so good! It’s a simple place, very busy with lots of locals, but welcoming and friendly and great food! My husband ordered chicken strips that came with two sides: he ordered coleslaw and fries. I ordered a cordon bleu wrap which came with chips and a dill pickle spear.

That wrap was so loaded with delicious chicken and thin sliced ham and cheese, and a honey mustard sauce, which they brought an extra container of for adding extra. I loved it, and it really filled me up!

Husband enjoyed his Chicken strips and fries and really liked the traditional creamy coleslaw.

It appeared they had some “to die for” desserts, and some were ordering slices of pie and other forms of goodness to go. Next time I might just need to stop in...

We have lived in the area for a couple of years but finally managed to go today. Very welcoming atmosphere and friendly and attentive staff! Our waitress was so sweet and kept making my son smile. The food was delicious--seriously the best French toast I've ever had, and I have had a lot! The orange juice was great. Everything was perfectly done and the portions are large! My husband couldn't believe the amount of bacon he was given either. It isn't the largest space but I think that's what helps give it its welcoming, homey vibe. They definitely have regular costumers and they were kind, too. Think this will be our breakfast place!
