BELLA PIZZA HILLSBOROUGH NJ — Restaurant in Hillsborough Township

Bella Pizza is tucked away in a small mall across from the YMCA. The mall looks like a ghost town, but don’t let that discourage you. If anything, it means parking won’t be hard to find! It looks like the indoor seating area recently received a makeover and I’m here for it. It looks clean and more modern. Don’t expect a large selection if you’re coming in for slices. They typically only have the basics: plain, pepperoni, a thicker plain slice similar to Sicilian, and sometimes Sausage or buffalo chicken.

That being said, the classic plain slice is a great go-to at Bella. The sauce is tasty, the cheese is fresh, and the ratio of sauce to cheese is on-point. The base and crust are always pleasantly crispy. Back when I wasn’t vegetarian, I really enjoyed the sausage slice too. If you want anything more than the basics, you should definitely call ahead. Food is alright, not the greatest. What makes this place really suck, is the way the owner Ahk treats customers. Last night I ordered two cups of chicken sup to go, I waited 30mins and asked for an update on my order. I akowledge that I didn't call in advance but it wasn't a big order, only 2 cups of sup that just needed to be heated and that's it. I asked 3 times for an update on my order in which the 3rd time, this guy Ahk came outside from the kitchen and told me that if I couldn't wait, I should go to my house and make my own soup! I couldn't believe my ears! I said he couldn't treat his customers like this, to what he yelled "I can treat my customers any way I want". So I asked for my money back and took my business else where, which he also suggested. If he's unhappy with his business, he should just close! The place is not that great to begin with. It's sad because my parents live right next door to this place and we used to order from here a lot... but after what happened last night, we will never step a foot into this place ever again. I was hungry and I saw this pizza place. I am not sure about the 4.6 star but the pizza for me was pretty horrible. I came in for a few slices and I received pizza that smelled as if it was dipped in soapy dirty water. I still can’t get a smell out of my hands and I can only imagine how unhealthy this was. I just hope I don’t develop any health problems, it was truly bad. If the owner/employee is unhappy or lost his desire or enthusiasm, then close your business or take some time off. You’re providing food for people that potentially could get them sick. Try to understand that. I’ve had bad pizza and this was pretty bad as well. When ordering pizza, the expectation is that it will be good quality at any place. It shouldn’t make you feel like you will be sick. I can’t wait to throw this up. To answer the business.
