Bella Italia Restaurant — Restaurant in Hillsville

Things are a little off as far as being authentic Italian. I had the chicken Alfredo, and while the Alfredo sauce was good, they drowned it in the sauce. My husband ordered chicken parmesan, and it kind of came out looking like a pizza. It was like 2 chicken tenders cut into pieces on top of the pasta. Sauce was then put over it then tons of cheese. The pasta was not cooked enough, and the dish was very dry. We had to ask for more sauce. Chicken parm is usually 1-2 fillets of chicken breast, dipped, breaded, then fried, then sauce is added, and baked with mozzarella, and then it is usually served on the side of the sauced pasta or some people place it on top. We love the food there but the waitress is very rude. It is winter and we know that hours may vary because of weather, however, when my husband went to get food there the door was unlocked and she came running and said "we are not open", very hateful. How was he to know since the door was unlocked. We decided to give them another try...we were going to call in an order and again they are calling for bad weather so when she (same waitress) answered I ask if they were open and she responded with "just so you know if we were not open we wouldn't answer the phone". Paid for delivery and had to pick it up upon returning within 2 miles to motel. Food was cold and was not complete. Asked if they had the jalapeño poppers, they said yes and I said why weren’t they in my order she said let me check she came back to me and said no we do not have any until next week. I should’ve been told or it should’ve been substituted, but all she kept saying was it was the delivery person’s fault I rated this restaurant at one star I don’t even think it should get that food was cold and chewy. They did not say the would credit anything but delivery fee. If you get the chance pass this place up it’s not worth it to get a cold $50 meal.
