We decided to visit Castillo's for the first time after reading glowing reviews on Facebook. Upon arrival, we were impressed by the nicely decorated and clean interior. The staff was very attentive and friendly, which made for a welcoming atmosphere. We enjoy sitting at the bar, so we opted to spend our evening there. The first thing that caught my eye was the limited food menu and beer selections, especially the lack of local beers from breweries within the Perkasie area. Additionally, I found the prices to be higher than expected compared to other local restaurants offering similar dishes. We started with an order of fried mozzarella. The marinara sauce was very tasty, and the cheese was perfectly cooked—not too runny and not overly cheesy. My girlfriend ordered the blackened salmon sandwich, which she found delicious. I thought it was just okay; the avocado flavor overpowered the other seasonings, although the salmon itself was tender and flaky. The sandwich came with a side of fries, which were crisp and enjoyable. We also ordered the Castillo pizza, which was very flavorful with its combination of sausage, roasted red peppers, and roasted garlic. Overall, we had a pleasant evening and enjoyed our meal. The people at the bar were friendly, and the staff was attentive, providing quick service. There are plenty of TVs in the bar area to watch your favorite games, which is a nice touch. However, I wasn't thrilled with the music playing in the bar. It featured popular songs not sung by the original artists, which didn't appeal to me. Despite this, we had a good experience at Castillo's and might consider returning, especially for the tasty food and...
Read moreEditing to add we visited again. Another fantastic meal. Everything on point, and very yummy. This time our server was Lydia C. Excellent! She is a true professional and an asset to your establishment.
We (3) visited on a Friday night about 6:30. We waited approx 15 mins for a table, which, given the volume, was quite reasonable. We sat at a booth in the bar. We had the hummus & pita appetizer, which was very good. The hummus tasted home-made and fresh and there was plenty for the 3 of us. For main, we had a pizza, the shrimp & crab rigatoni, and the blackened salmon sandwich. All were fantastic. The salmon was fresh and well seasoned. The lump crab in the rigatoni was plentiful and my husband had plenty of pizza left to take home for later. Everything was hot, fresh and well prepared. We took dessert home - a slice of cheesecake and a creme brulee. Both were terrific. We thought the pricing was fair. Our server, Chloe, was outstanding. Friendly, polite, attentive and very professional. She is an asset to your establishment. Overall, we had an excellent experience and will definitely be back again! would like to suggest the addition of a few non-alcoholic "mocktails" be added to the bar menu. It's nice to have an option besides soda/lemonade for those adults (like me) who do not...
Read moreWent here last night for dinner. We ordered the Castillo pizza as an appetizer, figuring we would take home the leftover pizza, and my husband ordered the blackened salmon sandwich and I ordered the burrata burger for dinner. WOW! We’ve lived in the area for almost 25 years and pizza is something we’ve struggled to find that we loved. We found one pizza place that was our go-to for a long time but they changed they way they make it and they now they overcook it. The pizza we ordered last night was absolutely delicious! Thin crispy crust and the mushrooms on the pizza were fresh, not canned. My husband expected the salmon burger to be a salmon patty but it was a blackened salmon filet. The basil aioli it was served with was delicious and the brioche bun was toasted perfectly. I asked for the burrata burger to cook led medium rare, which is how I always order my burgers but it is rarely served that way. This burger was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The toppings were spot on and the brioche bun was toasted perfectly. We both opted for a side salad instead of fries, expecting the salad to be iceberg lettuce. Instead, it was made with spring mix and the balsamic dressing it came with was homemade and delicious. We will definitely be returning to Castillos. Can’t...
