All bars have beer and bartenders, and many have food. Don’t be fooled into thinking Crossroads Tavern is just another neighborhood bar. Crossroads eclipses regular bar service, food, and drinks; the difference is that the staff actually cares about you having a good experience. I have the privilege of being a regular at Crossroads, and have been going almost every week for around two years.
The service at Crossroads is really what I consider exceptional. I even find myself comparing other bars to the service at Crossroads. Syd is without a doubt the best bartender I have had anywhere. She is a total professional, has great taste in beer, keeps more than just the boring regular stuff on tap, and not only remembers my regular orders but even on occasion guesses what specials Im going to order. Mike and the rest of the crew are also great folks, and the atmosphere of the bar is welcoming and accessible to anyone.
The food is the next great thing about Crossroads. Grace is behind the amazing food at Crossroads and is a perfect fit for the bar, and her menu and specials never disappoint. Not only does the crossroads kitchen go the extra mile and come up with delicious creative lunch and dinner specials many days, but they also make appetizers and things that other bars buy and fry, from scratch in their kitchen. My favorites are the buffalo chicken egg roles and chicken and waffles.
Finally, the drinks at Crossroads are very solid. The beer choices are particularly solid. There is always something that I won’t just settle for, but that I actually WANT to drink. Syd and the crew keep classics and crowd pleasers on tap, but also make the effort to keep great beers from Troegs, Workhorse, Cape May Brewing Co, and tons of other great breweries on tap.

Read moreI've been a regular at Crossroads for years, visiting nearly every week. Sydney, or "Syd" to the regulars, is likely the best bartender I've ever encountered. Her memory for orders is phenomenal, and she creates a welcoming atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. She often knows your drink preference before you do, especially if it's on tap. Sid is a fantastic conversationalist and elevates the entire lunch or dinner experience.
Crossroads excels not only in service but also in food. Grace, the talented chef, delivers exceptional dishes. Her menu is fantastic, and I can honestly say I've never had a disappointing meal there. Here are some of the crowd-pleasers:
Handmade Buffalo Chicken Spring Rolls: These are absolutely delicious. Mahi Mahi Tacos: Packed with a generous portion of fish throughout the taco. Salads: Large and bursting with flavor. Buttermilk Chicken and Waffles: This dish is a standout, combining breakfast and dinner in one delightful bite. Mike's chili-infused honey sauce is a perfect complement to the buttermilk chicken, and the waffles have the ideal texture.
Back to Syd's bartending expertise: She has a knack for selecting exceptional beers on tap, offering a variety of choices with seasonal selections included. She also takes pride in decorating for the holidays, and the place always...
Read moreLooks nicer on the outside than the inside. Thought the wife and I would go out for dinner with some nice atmosphere. The bar was dark and cozy but packed and loud. We decided to eat in the back room. It was more of a hard cafeteria atmosphere. I was surprised to see seating literally 3 feet from the bathroom door. I thought the French onion soup was way over priced and salty for $6. The cheese mixture on top was like rubber. I've known my wife for 39 years and I have never seen her not enjoy a ceaser salad. I had the big salad which I thoroughly enjoyed with Russian dressing on the side. Since the salad was so big I asked for a little more dressing. After I was close to be finished they brought it. Much to my surprise I was charged 50 cents for it. 48$ for a very below average meal with one Yuengling draft and one double bourbon and coke was way too much for the experiance. ...
