I ordered on Halloween night. I expected it to be busy, and for there to be a long wait. I was pleasantly surprised when told 35 minutes for pickup, as I expected there to be a much longer wait. Order was placed at 5:12pm. I arrived just short of 6pm, and was rung up. I then proceeded to wait. And wait. And wait. At 6:30 someone asked what order number I was waiting for. That was the only interaction while waiting. Finally, at 6:45pm, the order was ready. I was handed my food, and the person who handed it to me quietly mumbled “have a good one”. I don’t mind waiting. I get that it was an unusually busy night.. I just don’t like being told 35 minutes, and being made to wait an hour and a half, and then not get so much as a “sorry for the wait”. Some type of indication of a time frame once I arrived would have been nice. Some kind of an apology for the wait once the food was ready would have been appropriate. This was my first and last experience with this establishment. I haven’t even tried the food yet, but even if it’s the best pizza on planet earth, it doesn’t outweigh my expectation for at least average...

This is literally the worst pizza we have ever eaten. The pizza looked unappealing from the time we opened the box, definitely was not fresh mozzarella on that pizza...not sure what it was, but it wasn't what it was supposed to be. Honestly it reminded me of the old chef boyardee pizza kits you used to buy in the 80s. Both pizzas tasted awful. After we each had a slice we started feeling unwell and decided not to eat the rest of the pizza.

I had looked up the prices online prior to ordering and was shocked how much they charged me when I arrived - $51 for 2 pizzas. Online it showed $18 & $16.50 for the pizzas I ordered. Turns out the prices listed are for small pizzas on the website - very misleading. When I ordered I didn't specify a size since I didn't see that listed when I looked at the price and they didn't ask me, but automatically upsized me to larges. What a ripoff!

This place used to be good about 7+ years ago, even though it has the same name something obviously changed...it was really the worst pizza we have ever eaten, and we threw out all but the 4 slices we regretted eating.

Don't...

I am not much for writing a bad review.. but this time well I need to share my experience. We arrived and were told to order at the counter and then have a seat. There were 4 of us so my daughter and I decide to split a salad and get a pizza. and a cheeseburger. We ordered the bourbon glazed chicken salad. Nowhere in the description did it say SPICY HOT. It arrived and it was so hot.. that my daughter went to the counter to ask for some salad dressing to help kill the heat. She said she wished she knew when we ordered that it was hot. The reply was yea well the menus were already printed.. She said it was so hot I can barely eat it. There was no offer to remake the salad.. to give a discount on the salad. She ate around the chicken.. and I ate the pizza which was real good. I won't go back there. Simply because there is a tavern right across the street where the food is good. Sorry Locals. you lost us...

You know I had to stop at a place that's named Local's Pizzeria! Great plain pizza and one of the best taco pizzas I've had. Nice to have food that's deliciously made with pride. Loved the feel of the place too: The owner welcomed me to sit wherever to eat even though it was almost closing time. Will make this a regular stop on my way home whenever I happen to work in Philly. I'm seeking and reviewing the best authentically local businesses for Localverse (from Bethlehem, PA). And now adding Locals Pizza to that list. I ordered an Italian hoagie with no tomatoes and got home to find it loaded with tomatoes, making the bread soggy. I called with my complaint and the girl/woman pretty much immediately fixed the mistake. She was kind. The hoagie was good, I loved the red onions. The only issue I had was when my husband went to go pick up the correct order, the man at the counter remarked "its standard for tomatoes to be on the Italian hoagie" Ok...? But thats not what I ordered lol - I HATE TOMATOES. I order my hoagie the same, anywhere I go. It was just an unproductive comment and he just turned around & walked away 😂 Great hoagie though.
