Pasqualinas use to be the go to spot for my husband and I when we wanted a good sandwich. Over the past year or so I have noticed that the quality of food has gone down hill. The sciciliano that we ordered recently tasted rotten. The meat just had a bad taste to it, I couldn't even finish the sandwich. Later that night both my husband and I felt sick. The bread doesn't seem fresh either. Just seems as if they use whatever ingredients they have no matter how old they are.
Aside from the quality of the food I have observed the service to be poor as well. Again, my most recent order was a call ahead for pick up and was quoated 45 minutes. Mind you it is ONE cold sandwich, not sure why it would take so long but so be it... not a problem I was willing to wait 45 minutes for my ONE cold sandwhich. Well, when I arrived to pick up my ONE cold sandwhich it was not even made yet and trust me I watched the clock and I arrived 50 minutes after I placed my order. How frustrating that my sandwich wasn't even made yet. The women slapped together my ONE cold sandwich and finally after 57 minutes from my initially order I walked out with my sandwich.
When I got home I realized that the sandwhich was missing the correct condiments and had the wrong type of meat on it. Appalled to think I waited that long for my ONE cold sandwich that wasn't even ready after the ridiculous wait time quoted to begin with and to top it off it was made wrong! Unbelievable.
I am a very forgiving person and have given this place many chances but between the quality of food going down hill and the service ... I won't be back .... I would rather buy fresh ingredients at the store myself and replicate the sandwhich so it can be made correctly and know that I won't be getting sick from spoiled ingredients and not to mention I won't have to wait...
Read moreUsed to be an amazing Italian market. However, since Patti and Brian (the original owners) sold, this place seems to be going down hill fast... very disappointing. I used to love their sandwiches, when they used to make them with care. Now they throw their sandwiches together and the lunch meat doesn't even seem to be the same quality. Pasqualina's has really sold out. I would recommend Sam's Italian Market in Willow Grove or Mercatino Italiano in Quakertown.
Update:
It's been 9 years since my last review, and we were in the area so I decided to give Pasqualina's another shot. I wish I had just gone elsewhere at this point. My sandwich was mostly lettuce, barely any sharp provolone cheese, tossed together like I remember and of course the roasted red peppers I asked for were roasted tomatoes. They never get it right. Maybe one day I'll give them another chance if they sell again...
Read moreI will start by saying that they do make good hoagies! However, the reason I am giving a 2 star review is because I called to place a to go order and the woman had told me they only take cash. I asked if they take debit because we were already on the way and she said nope they just take cash. After turning around to the house to get cash and then going back which was significantly out of the way, we got there and saw a sign that said credit/debit only accepted for orders over $10. I did not appreciate the blatant lie and I would hope in the future she will treat her customers with enough respect to give an honest answer when asked a...
