If you scan through the reviews you will note that the owner frequently acknowledges and thanks people who leave 5 star reviews of this facility, but never acknowledges or addresses those who leave negative reviews or acknowledges the problems/issues these reviews raise. Clearly they believe they are beyond reproach and never need to issue apologies because they never make mistakes.

We visited the bar and the beach at the club on 5/1/21. We realized this morning my son forgot his water bottle in one of the family changing rooms, so I called the listed number for the club to see if they had a lost and found. I followed the phone prompts to speak to a staff member at the club; at no point did I select to be connected to one of the restaurants or request the reservation line.

While our experience here the previous day was fine, the woman who answered the phone this morning was rude, dismissive, and curt. She cut me off mid-sentence numerous times, stating that she manages the restaurant and has no involvement with outside facilities, that she oversees 400-500 customers a day and couldn't possibly be bothered with such trivial things as a customer who lost something.

At no point did I ask for anyone to go look for this bottle, I was simply calling to see if there was a lost and found at the property; If there were one I would've been happy to go look there myself if the woman on the phone had been capable of answering this one yes or no question I had. Instead, as soon as I mentioned a lost item and before I could even utter the words "lost and found", I was told that it could have been "lifted" by someone, or maybe a lifeguard picked it up (it was not lost on the beach so this made no sense, but of course she cut me off before I could even say exactly where it was lost so she would not have known that).

After making it abundantly clear she had more important things to tend to than speaking with me, after all I was only a paying customer at this facility, she hung up on me. I have no idea how someone so rude is in charge of an entire restaurant and thinks that her behavior is acceptable or appropriate, not only in the hospitatlity industry but as a decent human being, but we'll never be back. There are many more locations on Hilton Head that will take our money and not be disrespectful to us for having the audactiy to ask a simple yes or...

While the beach club is actually nice, the new policy regarding parking is NOT. When renting in the past, we could easily park at the beach club. Now you must arrive by 8:00 am to be one of the “ first lucky 50 renters” to get the pleasure of parking there. If not, you will be directed to park at the golf course and you can either walk with your beach gear or be shuttled there. Mind you there is only one shuttle and the charge is $10 a day. This fabulous inconvenience is after spending a couple thousand dollars to rent a villa or condo or home. They also do not keep track of when the lucky 50 leave the lot so that people coming later in the day can get some of those spots. Why would they—every car at the course is another $10!!! One day the shuttle driver never came after we waited 20 minutes. We are waiting with hot children carrying heavy beach gear in the July heat and paying for this “ service”. Finally, we were not allowed to drop off family members and beach gear at the club and then have one person go park at the course and have to shuttle instead of a whole family, but we saw many other families and cars doing just that. Point is it isn’t consistent. It’s the luck of the draw with whomever is manning the entrance that day. One shuttle driver was nice and the others were clueless and one just disappeared and never showed. We are seriously considering saying goodbye to Sea Pines and hello to Palmetto Dunes for our HHI trips. The new policy made going to the beach a chore instead of a pleasure and the $10 a day fee is ridiculous. Please don’t insult all of us by saying that money pays for the golf cart shuttle driver. Our MIA driver told us he worked at the course and he didn’t know why they made him drive the shuttle. Very...

Giving more than one star because the facility and beaches were great. The parking situation, however, is absurd and frustrating. There may be a policy but it is not posted anywhere and is not being executed consistently by the attendants. Frankly we have no idea if we are going to get turned away or let in on any given day. The first day we were aloud in to park for free after describing our rental agreement with a property owner I. Sea pines. The second day they said no and sent us across the street to pay 10 bucks. The third day we decided to drop off and shuttle back and forth. They let us in to drop off in the morning and then we went home for lunch...when we came back in the afternoon they wouldn’t even let us in to drop off, so we had to let everyone off in the street!!!! This is absurd. Each day that we were there the parking lot was half full. You are exposing the sea pines property owners to false advertising and making it difficult to plan and pack for vacations with the lack of transparency. I can appreciate the need for you to collect more money but at least let people know and execute...

I wanted to thank your employees again for the kindness they showed myself and my husband. We had just recently lost our precious dog (15 years old) who was a very special member of our family. Memories of her happen to come to mind while dining and I couldn’t avoid the tears that came to my eyes. Your very lovely waitress happened to notice. (I think her name was Rebecca). I apologized and explained to her that I just had been having a “moment” of sadly thinking of our little Jessie. She was so kind and understanding…..even taking a minute to give me a hug! At the end of our dinner another staff member brought out a special dessert with a most special encouraging message. We have never experienced the outstanding thoughtfulness shown! Hilton Head is our yearly vacation spot and we will not only be regular diners, but will pass along what a wonderful staff you have! Thank you so very much!

Beach club area has parking for certain guest passes. Lots of bike park racks. Lots of public restrooms which include diaper changing tables. Showers and hoses available to rinse feet and beach stuff off. You can fish on the beach. Get your bait from Tackle shop in South Beach. Millet and squid worked best for us. Try to go during low or mid-tide if you have kids and there will be tidal pools available for them. Check the bin located at the end of the walk way for toys to borrow or keep. Restaurant, full service bar, beach shop, and small cafe are all located at the beach club. Not cheap, but not crazy expensive prices. Looks like any and all kinds of shades are okay to bring. We used a shimbumi and loved it. Saw many others with them. Umbrella and chairs available to rent. I think $35ish per day.

Great food and great views of the beach. We really enjoyed our meal out on the deck which had a bit more informal seating (i.e. couches and lounge deck furniture) but was perfect for us. The views from the deck were amazing and this will definitely be a place we stop by each visit to Hilton Head. The restaurant is not suited for small children and is slightly more formal dining, although I'm not entirely sure if there is a dress code. I wore shorts and a button down, collared shirt and was not given any trouble.
