Almost got scamed by whoever took the phone order..I asked for prices and sizes of their pizza. Snarly toned woman, runs down the list quickly, I had to ask again. Ordered large sausage & Cheese $24. and assumed delivery was free, since I am walking distance around the corner. She says that delivery is 4 bucks. I said, for that short distance? Thats right she confirmed..I thought , go ahead and deliver..thinking that it was probably to pay the driver. Then she asks if I was going to tip the driver a few dollars upon his delivery..I thought..these people have to be kidding, who knows in advance if they will want to tip some one, before they have arrived. and a tip is only when everything was greater than expected. So, if I say, no..I'm not tipping extra for your driver...what might be done to my pizza?? I said, forget about it..I will pickup. She sounded like, by her tone that she wanted to call me a cheapscape... Prior to saying no about the delivery, she (Ann) was prepared to take my credit card info..luckily she didn't proceed, but said I could pickup in 15 to 30 minutes. So upon arrival, I go in to the counter where a guy comes to meet me. Nonchalant additude, sorta seemed pissed, like I was disturbing him. I'm going to make this rather lengthy ordeal, fast as possible. Asked for my order, he didn't have any orders ..I asked, is this Rosati, sincerely thinking for a split second, I may be at the wrong place..looking at the sign, while at the same time, he's confirmed that it was., but insisted he had no called in order for me..I told him the name, the large sausage & cheese, the address...he's looking on his clipboard, argumentively, he states that the only order he had was a uber, pick up from a Kelly and some other name..I told him, ..sir,, I'm Kelly,...he still didn't believe me..I had to continue stating that some lady named Ann who took the order asked for my name...thats how you have it.. all this guy could do is go on about, he doesn't have a female working at all today, and no one named Ann, works there. After I finally got the damn pizza from this bird-brain, who, by the way..never even apologized to me. All he said was, that he's having a rough day because he's short staffed. I replied, that I have nothing to do with that, all I know is I ordered a pizza for pickup and expected service with a smile. What he should have been trying to figure out, was who took my order saying their name was Ann, while asking upfront for a tip. The only reason I didn't walk, was because I was picking the pizza up for my office personal for lunch. Had it not been that, since I'd offered to buy the lunch..I didn't want to break my promise or word. But when I returned to the office..I let it be known...never again! at least, not Rosatis. I've never personally tried or tasted their food, the office loves their pizza. But for me..service is too important. Plus charging for delivery for an order literally around the corner--walking distance and asking for a tip? š 2 stars for Rosati's!!
I'll...

So, I called & placed an order just after 11 am on a Thursday for delivery. I was told delivery within the hour. My orders since the last management change, have been delivered fast as I only live 2 minutes from their location. After an hour & 10 minutes I called & was told the driver was in-route to my house. It took another 20 minutes before my order was delivered. To top it off, the thin & crispy pizza I ordered was delivered soggy. If this sounds familiar, it's almost exactly my same review under the old management.
UPDATED 8/17/2020 Wow! What a difference a new owner makes! I was nervous to give Rosati's another chance but after they reopened under new management I'm so glad I did. Finally delicious pizza! I ordered the thin crispy crust and it was delivered fast & you actually receive a hot pizza!
~Old management review: This place has really gone downhill! I haven't ordered from Rosati's in over a year due to receiving the worst Pizza. I really wanted a Chicago style deep dish pizza so decided to give Rosati's another try. I specifically asked if there pizza was authentic Chicago-style deep-dish. I was told yes, but it's definitely not! I was also told my order would be delivered in an hour. I literally live 2 minutes from their location. After an hour and 15 minutes had passed I called and was told my order was out the door and should be arriving any minute. After another 20 minutes had passed I called again and complained. My order finally arrived a few minutes after my last call. Only to receive cold "pan pizza" not Chicago deep dish. So disappointing and we'll never order...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love Rosati's Pizza, and I used to really like this location a few years ago. We used to go there every time, driving from Four Seasons to pick it up because they wouldn't deliver that far. In the past year or so, they have steadily declined both in quality and customer service. I'm assuming management changed, but I'm not sure. I'll provide some reasons for why we have not gone back. First, the quality of the pizza. The crust has been undercooked more than once. They also don't use very much cheese, leaving a LOT of area around the edges without cheese with a lot of sauce and sometimes we had 2 inches of crust. So we ALWAYS ordered extra cheese, which is an extra charge. I NEVER get extra cheese. I even ordered one pizza with extra cheese and one with normal cheese under a different name...picked up both and compared...and the one with "extra cheese" actually has less than the regular. I showed them, and they did offer to make another pizza, but I'd have to wait of course...and no discount of course. Then there's the not-so-friendly guy at the front counter who needs a class on professionalism and customer service. Another quality issue (or lack thereof) was while I was waiting for my pizza...I watched the guy responsible for removing the pizzas from the oven DROP the large pizza shovel on the dirty floor, pick it up, and take a pizza out of the oven with it. I was floored and advised the "unfriendly" guy at the counter, who tried to convince me that I didn't really see what I saw. I left without my pizza, and this was the last time we ever went back. If I need my Rosati's fix, I drive to the location West on US 30...MUCH BETTER on all levels. I gave the Hobart location at least half a dozen chances to make it up, and was...
