2 Fat Guys — Restaurant in Hockessin, Delaware

Went there this past weekend 5/25/24 ordered wings sarachie garlic they were horrible and they were not done we also ordered three cheese bacon burgers 2 of them. First of we were seated in the bar area next to the kitchen wrong area but the server was cleaning the dining room area we should have just requested a table there anyway there was no one even in there, bar area had around 6 people there. Any way we had to hear the kitchen gossip they were all saying I’m not staying here until 11:30 and all of there conversations. My burgers both of them were not even cooked all the way I asked for well done bacon was cold as well I don’t know why our food was cold there was no other food being cooked for anyone my only guess is my wife ordered onion rings instead of fries so I heard them say in the kitchen oh they want onion rings so I guess they screwed up order so our burgers must’ve set around until onion rings were cooked, I must say the onion rings were hot and my fries were hot as well. We only went there because people gave them 4.5 stars I don’t know who these people are they must don’t know good food. We were not sending are food back to the kitchen lord only knows what they would have done to our food so instead we asked for boxes to take the food with us as soon as we got outside we threw it in the trash can right outside. Our bill was $62 dollars I had one bar drink, what a waste of money and time thinking we were gonna get best burgers of Delaware, never again you live...

Im only giving a 2 star because the wings and pretzels were amazing. The entrees would of been amazing as well but the server didn’t even put our order in after we placed the order. She came back after we finished our appetizers almost an hour later. Asked us to put our entrees in the even though we already did! You could tell she remembered once we said something. So I was going to let it go. Every where is under staffed right now. But than they brought me the completely wrong order. And instead of bringing me the correct order they put my steak on the side since they brought chicken on the plate instead of steak. They should of brought me a new plate. The manager/owner I Assume did offer to remake the plate to go but at that point I was just ready to go because our other entree was burned. It was chicken parm and the chicken was black on the bottom. We also didn’t get our soup we were suppose to get as well. It started off amazing. But ended as a horrible experience. although the food was good I will probably never return because the service sucked. If she wasn’t worried about getting a good tip from the 4 kids next to us she probably would have gotten 2 times as much a tip from us. We understand times are tough right now with being understaffed and covid, we like to show that in our tips if we go out to eat. But tonight...

this place was highly recommended by Reddit for wings in DE. had an opportunity to stopped by recently. 1st, their menu offers a good selection of food from wings, salads, burgers, and ribs. it was empty when I was there so the food came out quickly.

I had their order of wings, which is usually about 10 meaty wings w their Triple Play sauce: a combo of pear, BBQ, and mild - HIGHLY recommend. wanted to pair it w fries to munch on...and it was very well done! seasoned with the right size cut (my favorite size, not too big like steak fries but not small, straw fries size). it was especially good w a side of ranch!

so very good overall that I went back again and got the same order w onion rings, too! came w an ancho ranch sauce but it didn't need it - the rings were very good by themselves.

again, empty store today but I hope that just means they're doing great business in the later hours. this place is a hidden(?) gem! I look forward to going back to have the wings again and try their...
