Casa Grande Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Hohenwald

Food is great! Service has been consistently terrible with various servers. I have visited this place maybe 8 times and have had good service once.

Details as requested by owner-

The first more recent visit was last Thursday, we arrived at about 7:45 pm. We got a server who had previously been terrible, it took her almost 20 minutes to come take our drink order. We asked the host on duty, as we were seated at the first table, if anyone knew we were there. We didn’t get refills until after our food had been served and had even begun to eat before the refills.

Last night we went at about the same time. I understand the restaurant closes at 9, but at 8 pm we should still receive service. Staff was too busy doing closing chores and it wasn’t busy at all. The server did bring us drinks, but never came back. We ended up leaving cash ($3) to cover the coke and we left after waiting for almost 20 minutes.

A separate occasion, I had been hiking with my small dog. I came inside to ask if dogs were allowed on the patio, and was told no unless it was a service dog. At my last visit, there was a customer with her definitely not service dog (I know the woman)...

Went to get some dessert here as me and my wife really enjoy their chocolate chimichangas, but we thought it was called the deep fried ice cream so that's what we asked for. When we realized that we had gotten the wrong order my wife talked to one of the waiters. Even after saying that it was her mistake and asked if we could have the chocolate chimichangas the waiter and the other waiters had made fun and told us we should have looked at the menu instead of just ordering straight ( which my wife had already stated it was her mistake ). Once it was done and over with in the background the waiters continued making fun of us ( we were sat very close to the kitchen and within ear shot of all of them ) one waitress even threw down the menu we were using complaining that we messed up. Afterwards me and my wife caught what looked to be one of the waiters taking pictures of us ( this were not sure of, but wanted to put it out there if it's happened...

I'm shocked that this place has a 4.4 average. I asked for Queso with my chips and what I got was watered down cheese sauce. Dip is supposed to stay on the chip. I ordered the salmon meal. What I got was a play dough molded piece of frozen fish that had the "grill" marks carved out & everything. It was SO dry that I had to cut it in a sawing motion with my fork.... Salmon is supposed to be soft, moist & falling apart. DRY and the worst tasting salmon I've ever had in my 50 years of life. When I mentioned it to the waitress she said that other people have said the same thing. Why does this restaurant keep serving and charging customers money for something they can't prepare correctly???? Pretty environment, clean and service was good. Not the waitresses fault at all. Who owns this place? UPDATE: received a $20 refund for my meal and the cheese...
