Tap Room — Restaurant in Hoisington

Even my profile says that I love a good old fashioned dive bar. This, my friends, is such a one. It is a true "beer bar", meaning that it serves no liquor. Yes, Kansas used to have a lot of them! It doesn't have a grill, so I was leery of the bierock on the menu. My suspicions were ill-founded, as it turned out to be very good! They do have a deep-fryer, and a good selection of snacks that can be prepared by that method. It is one end to the other Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, Kansas State Wildcats, and Coors....these are a few of my favorite things! They don't take plastic, but they do have an ATM ($2.95 fee) and dive-bar...

A year ago we visited the Tap Room….. an hour out of our way to Minnesota. Friends of ours in Point Blank, Texas told us about a family owned bar in their home town. We just had to go. It was worth it !!! Stop by !!...

Great little stop! The owner is nice as heck! Only 2 beers on tap!?! Coors and Coors Light.. it has been The Tap Room since the '50s. They serve only deep fried and microwave lore... we had fish and chips......
