This was my first time their and I was not overly impressed. I ordered the fish taco and a Nashville hot chicken taco. The fish taco was great, the Nashville hot chicken taco was well it gets a participation trophy. It came looking burnt and tasting burnt.
The service was ok, although not good. My food was delivered with only the chicken taco on it, my fish taco wound up on another person's plate. I absolutely hate others touching my food. It also went to show that the staff really did not care about customer service or possible dangers with food allergies and cross contamination. Let alone vegetarian and vegan people having their food possibly tainted.
The atmosphere was not great. The room was hot, and extremely noisy and the music was obnoxious, loud enough to kind of be heard over the noise but not enjoyed. Just enough to be an annoyance.
Price wise I feel the place is way over priced, especially for a single burnt chicken strip taco being 8$
They should also turn off the tipping option on their screen, this can easily be done. No real service is being done. Drinks are environmentally unfriendly plastic single serve bottles so no refils. Water is a water dispenser that you get your own water from. Once they drop your food on the table you never hear...
Read moreGood American-Mexican tacos but too spendy. To qualify this review more-I generally leave 5 star reviews for places or people that really impress me and I’m careful not to affect any business with a less then very good review. Occasionally though it seems like the google rating of a place is very misaligned, usually too high, and it can be disappointing to visit a place like that expecting a 4.8 star experience and wondering why the place is not really rated 4.2 or something less glowing than 4.8. That’s the case here and it’s only my humble opinion. Also reviews are very relative to location so one is not going to approach the general food or cultural experience in SLC UT as say NYC. Anyway with that said: I’m used to eating 3-5 tacos but these are larger and cost $5-$6 each( fancy tacos). So one is not enough and two starts getting expensive for just a couple tacos. I like eating multiple tacos- that’s really part of the taco experience. I guess this place just isn't for me. and I will stick to more authentic tacos in USA, and also keep visiting Mexico. Nice interior and very nice and attentive owners though, and if fancy tacos are your thing, you...

After some social media buzz, I decided I had to try Facil Taqueria. This place is located in a strip mall in Holladay. The vibe is very fun and modern. The menu offers a few non-taco options. They offer 8 different tacos, most of which are $6 each. Prices are somewhat justified by the quality of the food. The staff were friendly and service was quick, though no one noticed we had no napkins and the dispensers were out until we were done eating.
We tried the Nashville Hot Chicken, Beer Battered Fish, Smoked Prime Brisket, and Local Squash and Poblano tacos. The Nashville hot taco was a bit too spicy for the average Utah palate, but I still enjoyed it a lot. The beer battered fish was underwhelming, it had almost no flavor. The brisket was excellent. The squash and poblano taco was pretty good. The tacos were big enough I did not feel jipped on the price, and the quality of the ingredients shone through with one alibi. The tortillas were store bought packs available at Costco! That felt cheap for a place charging a premium for...
